God Bless little Caroline and all the children. Every time I think I'm not going to post another article because my heart can't take it, I see some bit of news worth sharing. THIS news hits HOME because Caroline's mother is from Asheville, NC my hometown!

One will never know how this will affect us in life. Early morning I stand outside with my 5 year old Granddaughter so she can board the bus to go to kidnergarten. Now, the kisses and hugs we share before she boards the bus are even more meaningful, for so many, that was there last time seeing their child alive.

Now not only do I hug my grandchild extra but the little boy who also stands with us gets extra hugs as well. After this tragic event he was telling us that the child Benjamin who was killed is his first cousin and the tears in his and our eyes filled all over again. I'm here in Florida, standing for a school bus, now one of the children with us has had a direct hit from the loss of a family member. This tragic event reaches far.

how does killing sea turtles and other marine life honor these children? in our state we fine litterers. surely there are better ways to honor them.

The news of this tragic incident is so heart wrenching. I just have a hard time understanding this world. Praying for all of them, the families, the friends, and the rest of us that have also lost something because of this.

This is a horrible tragedy and my heartfelt prayers to all families. These poor little children cut down in their short life. BUT we shouldn't be releasing balloons. They eventually come down and animals suffer. We need to find a better way to honor these children. How about donating to the mental health helping the mentally ill since our government doesn't do anything for them. YES, I know what I am talking about. I have been dealing with a mentally ill daughter for over 20 years and all I ever got was "It isn't against the law to be crazy". Now she is sitting in jail awaiting trial on three felony charges in NV. No, she didn't kill anyone. No, she didn't rob anyone.

These biodegradable balloons also take time to dissolve. I really wish people would release butterflies or doves. I however would never say that to this poor woman in her time of great sorrow. But for the rest of you,, please make it butterflies or doves. GodBless you my sweet Barb and thank you

Please do not honor the victims with environmental damage and illegal acts. See http://balloonsblow.org/thinking-about-having-a-balloon-release for more info. Have people hold onto their balloons, like holding onto the memories of the victims.
