Thank you Barb....love the stories with happy endings. I read here on Care2 not too long ago (or was it a Freekibble question ?..no matter) that cats could make 27 (I think) different sounds. I have had cats most of my life and have never heard anywhere near that many. Perhaps they only use a particular sound if it's necessary.....and sounding like a human was most probably necessary in this case. I hope all fire departments will invest in pet oxygen masks.

Nice story with a happy ending. I also liked the story under it about the actress in Turkey who tries to help street cats and dogs against all the odds. She is wonderful too.

I have been trying to advocate the need for pet oxygen masks for several months now. I cannot stress enough how important these life saving masks are!! I believe that EVERY fire department should have them!! There are many sites online where they can be ordered. I personally use http://www.oxygenmasks4pets.org/

Thanks Barb. I suppose i would be possible to give mouth to mouth resuscitation (I would surely try if I had to), but a pet oxygen mask would be so much better. I hope all fire departments are able to fit them in their budget if they don't already have them.
