Somehow I never thought of tornadoes as 'goodnews' until now.

Thanks for these uplifting images Barb. It's wonderful to see that when people are facing such massive challenges, differences dissolve and everyone works toward a common goal.

Thx Barb, yes, so good to know of compassionate people there when needed. But I miss photos of therapy dogs sent there to comfort the rescued homeless now.

Thank you Barb for this good news about people and pets. It's good to see that they will rebuild as many have here in NJ and other states that have gone through tornado and hurricane damage.

Great photos, Barb. I have been following many stories of hope and and human kindness. in Oklahoma.
Beth is right, we do stick together in bad times. Wouldn't it be great if this happened on an every day basis. Thanks for the post Barb.

Thanks for the pics Barb - we should not only be caring for our animals and helping each other when disasters hit us, but it should be happening in our lives each and every day. To those that helped in this amazing rescue of pets and people, may your lives be richly blessed.

What a gentle, compassionate expression on the face of this young woman ....inasmuch as you have done it to the least of these my brothers you have done it to me...

We are taught to conform, remember by rote facts and figures, but sometimes we just need to do the right thing. To do good is our very essence. It takes courage to have integrity. There is something inside ALL of us that tells us...I must help. We either stifle that and sink into apathy, or take a big breath, show up, even when logic tells us "there is nothing for you to do...go home". We don't know what role we will play, whether it is picking up a tiny kitten in rubble, or loaning our cell phone to a youngster so he/she can call home and tell their mom that they are ok.
