I will not pass judgement on anyone who chooses to eat meat.

BUT...

If we ask animals to make the ultimate sacrifice for us - give up their lives in order to become food for us - the very least we can do is treat them well and not allow them to suffer any more than they have to.

Joycey, anyone who treats animals like this has no heart, no conscience. Like you, this mystifies me. How can anyone witness something like this - or, even just KNOW about it - and then just continue to mindlessly pick up T-bones, flank steaks and hamburger at the supermarket????

It's so easy to toss the nice, clean packages of meat into a grocery cart and simply see it as just another food product. People don't like to know that this is the flesh of a sentient being who suffered excruciating pain and fear in its final moments of a tortured life.
