The holiday season is a better time than ever to speak out against child hunger. While most of us will be at home enjoying spending time and eating great food with our families, there are still millions of children in the world who won't have access to food, much less a joyful family celebration

Signed the pledge, but this will only work if we do something about it. I encourage everyone to give whatever they can. Before Thanksgiving there are always these fantastic deals on turkeys - spend $25.00 and get a turkey for $5.00 - that sort of thing. I always get extra turkeys and turn them over to local charities. Every effort makes a difference.

Great idea Alex ~ there are so many ways we can help. Last year we bought enough groceries to earn a free turkey and we gave it to a shelter in our area. It fed 9 people!
