Bolivian President Evo Morales was re-elected on December 6, with more than 63% of the vote. Evo is Indigenous, and began as a farmer activist. He is now a leader in a peaceful democratic socialist revolution, which is increasing equality in Bolivia.

Against Apartheid & AIDS, as with human-induced climate change, the denialists' role was to entrench the status quo forces of state & capital. They were, simply, hucksters for vested interests. In both cases we defeated them with vigorous social activism!

The USA recently threatened Latin American countries, warning them not to trade or make diplomacy with Iran. Bolivia, Brazil & Venezuela rejected US bullying, & condemned US support for the brutal coup regime & fake "democratic elections" in Honduras.

Obama's speeches hide the fact that the US is an imperial superpower with 100s of military bases deployed all over the world; 200 years of military interventions in our hemisphere; & more than a century of genocidal actions in Asia, Africa, & elsewhere.

In a press conference on December 16, Bolivia's indigenous President Evo Morales said, "The budget of the United States is US$687 billion for defence. And for climate change, to save life, to save humanity, they only put up $10 billion. This is shameful."
