that has recently passed the Massachusetts senate gives the government a little too much power. The bill is being hurried along due to fears of a Swine Flu pandemic this flu season.

According to the bill, if there is a Swine Flu pandemic and you don't get the Swine Flu vaccine, you can be ordered into quarantine. If you refuse the quarantine, you can face a fine of $1,000 per day that you resist.

This is the same Swine Flu vaccine that the government itself is unsure of the vaccine's safety, yet they are issuing penalties if it is not taken.

Government officials would also have the right to enter private property to asses the status of the pandemic.

I guess I will be quarantined, heh, if this comes to pass in Michigan. The media is reporting on this "must vaccinate" push, that they could actually be considered top advertisers, at this point. Very disturbting, because too many in the Detroit area, don't know the whole story to this important issue. Noted and thank you.

Away with the untested vaccine!...I have read that the majority of doctors in my land will not take it, and so...Will there be enough beds for the "homeless" and me? :-)

I am seeing so much happening in our Country that worries me. First of all: Our Constitutional Rights are being changed right under our noses and it's like no one is seeing it!! Robi V: you are only as free as the government lets you think you are free. The Bush administration rescinded over 90% of the Bill of Rights and has shredded the Constitution before the current President took office. I have followed closely the restrictions and eliminations of "our rights and freedoms" taken away by G.W. Bush, mostly when congress was on vacation or recess. The more you look into what was taken from you from 2000-2009(January 20) you might be shocked and most of it can be found online from the government websites.

For those that worry you will be forced to receive this injection. There is not enough doses of vaccine now and it will take longer than you think to produce sufficient quantities for everyone to receive this shot.

I will not take it as I never take flu shots. I am usually allergic to the base used in all vaccinations and get by with a medical pass. I am currently on a medication for a medical condition and am the research subject for that medication by Alexion Pharmaceuticals and the FDA is monitoring me as well to see how that medication affects this medical condition. Yes, sometimes I joke about being a guinea pig and if push comes to shove and they say I have to take this flu shot, I will no doubt get a pass on it as it may interfere with the research.

Krisjanis K: We already have rationed health care thanks to the insurance companies. This letter you have provided contains half truths/lies, depending on what was edited out of each page. It had been a trick used by the GOP to only print partial lines that may point to a certain outcome, but when you take the whole sentence or paragraph the outcome is totally opposite than what you think is the truth. This is a common ploy used to stir up the masses who will believe anything told to them and unless they do the research themselves and most don't, they will have stirred the people up with false testimony so they go out and hinder the passage of this bill.

Some people believe that those who have no medical insurance only have to go to the ER to be treated. That they cannot be denied service. Don't bet on it. And who do they think is going to pay the tens of thousands of dollars(yes that is correct) for the treatment and any prescriptions which can cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars per treatment. I have been there and done that when I had no medical insurance and I only went when it was a dire emergency, unlike many who go to ER for everything. If there was a government option for those who cannot afford but need medical wouldn't you want to see to it that people had that choice and if you want and can afford your own private medical costs, until you become sick and they throw you off or cost more than you can afford, you can still keep it, wouldn't you appreciate some type of medical coverage for yourself if you lost your medical coverage for whatever reason or do without it altogether?

There are no death panels. However, the current for profit medical insurance companies do have them. They are the ones who decide to deny treatment for medical diseases or conditions, or they delay them until after the patient dies, or they make you go through up to 10 or more other treatments for your medical problem before finally ending up at the last option, which was maybe your doctors 1st or 2nd choice, thus costing you hundreds of thousands of dollars of unnecessary medical procedures and testing only to arrive at the same treatment in the end. It happens, mainly to discourage you from getting the proper treatment in the first place and if they didn't play these games, which they can now justify raising your premiums for, they would not make more money off of you, and in the end they will kick you off their policy coverage as you may end up costing them some profit money. Illegals will not be eligible for this medical plan. The so called death panel-the DNR of living will as it is called,but Sarah Palin called it a death panel-which BTW she thought living wills were a good thing to have just months earlier-this so called plan would allow you to talk to your doctor about what you want done with YOU if you become unable to decide for yourself. It is not putting granny down, and if you want everything done, that will happen. This part of the bill, which has been lied about would have the government pay for the doctors time talking to you and you would not have to pay for this advice yourself. That's it. I had my lawyer draw up my living will when I had major surgery several years ago. Only this ignorant and uninformed would fight this based on lies and partial truths. Research it, it is not that scary and everyone should let their doctor and family and preferably a lawyer have copies of your last wishes, and it may not be your time to go, you know things happen to people who are young also and it is easier legally to have all of this done ahead of time. That way you would not have a circus about your life like we saw with Terry Schiavo.

If anyone tries to force me to take that shot especially just to show me how much more powerful they are than I am, I have a very nasty surprise waiting for them. I kick hard, and I know WHERE to kick. My cousing developmed Gullaine-Barre syndrome from a flu shot, and I am not allowing ANYONE to violate my civil liberties!!! Do you get that government! If you try to force me to take a vaccine that has caused even more serious illness in people than swine flu, you government people will sorely, very SORELY regret it! I am not sure what state you live in..but in Texas if you go to any ER they can NOT refuse to treat you.Period!
Those costs are then dispersed in the rising cost of Health Care that everyone is complaing about.
I have know many people and had family from Mexico come here and go to the ER for treatment without insurance.Not one was ever turned away.

...hmmmmm........can anyone say "Squalene?" (MF 59 adjuvant) ie H1N1 vaccine. ask some war vets who were vaccinated and now suffer from "Gulf War Syndrome). a law was passed in 2004 that this particular adjuvant is not to be used in any vaccines. to much squalene can cause seriously debilitating neurological symptoms/illness either almost immediately after recieving it or some years down the road...Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Arthritic diseases, Retinal-neuropathies. look it up, do the research, read beyond the sentence that squalene is derived from sharks and is used in lotions and oils....educate yourself, this Novartis and other pharma. cos. concocted vaccine goes way beyond that. ........~noted anita, thanks!

Our government wants to force people to take vaccines, yet people are still in an uproar about schools teaching safe sex and making condoms available. HIV/AIDS is much more prevelant than any flu.
Don't think that vaccines are "UNtested". They are tested on an uneducated public on a massive scale.

But you are right you have takena stand.
As a Obama supporter NO matter what he does to the American people,including forcing this vaccination upon everyone.
That is the point of this post.That HIS administration is trying to make it mandatory and force it on people.
Reading is good for you.
You say you refuse to take it.But IF the bill passes then what will you do?
And this has nothing to do with Christians.This will affect ALL citizens no matter your religious backgrounds,soci-economic backgrounds and so on.
That is the reason this was posted to inform people about what the government is planning on doing.
Bush tried it and failed!
But Obama has sooo much pull in the media and in DC that this is very possible for him to do THIS!
WHO cares who is in office!
Care about what they are DOING and planning on doing to the people!

And I say everyone here for our health and safety needs to take a stand and demand that these violations of rights NOT go unchallenged.

Opheelia u are right on regarding the Squalene.... fairly harmless untill injected straight into the blood stream then it's a real problem... the people in Mass.need to have a throw the bums out party regarding their legislators for passing this and they should have education... hopefully there is a care2 member in that state who is willing to begin this in the street.
It is imperative that people get educated regarding vaccines and how they are made along with the damage they do. People need to know more about alternative health programs and treatments to help with the flu of any kind. If we do not break the mesmerizing hold of fear that the AMA and CDC has on the population and everyone here does not learn for themselves then all is lost... Each of you tell ur neighbors,ur friends,ur co-workers ,download information hand it out as flyers,leave it in the libraries,on peoples doorsteps,in stores ,on cars in parking lots,wherever ,no government fear should be in this info... just the truth about vaccines and the facts regarding ..then people will start questioning their doctors and health care people and demanding natural health care,good nutrition information and alternatives such as homeopathic and more. We can not afford to wait any longer ...Hit the streets!

Talking about rights - AMA (American Medical Association) and ChildrensHealthcare.org are doing us humans a great disservice by actively seeking and promoting ways to abolish religious and philosophical exemptions! Exemptions that give humans the freedom to reject vaccines on religious or philosophical grounds!
