I have wondered in the past about making clothes and other things out of recyclable plastic - make everything types 1,2 or 4 and we can use it again and again.

It is interesting the paradigm of early nineteenth century, before wood came into common use for paper. All the paper in the world came from cloth, primarily cotton or linen, sometimes hemp. As recent as the early 1800s there was a law in England that a newspaper could only be so many pages long and only so big in size, due to the limited amount of paper.

It is incredible that we are so wealthy and prosperous that waste is a part of our lives. I have wondered whether it is time, as my neighbor puts it, that The Man upstairs will get angry and straighten this planet out.
