How utterly crazy is this...everything always has to be about the male child in these countries...how thankful is he going to be when his parents aren't around to raise him...better her than me...noted

yikes...70 y.o. woman! imagine her at 80 y.o., the twins will be 10 y.o., ..and so on. hope that someone will provide rest for this elderly lady in tending 24/7 with the babies..i can't imagine. i have a hard enough time getting myself in gear (late 50's), and her having twins. uh...WOW! noted

Oh, Mama! There's already an imbalance in the Indian population, with more boys allowed to be born than girls. Whom do they think the guys will have to marry if this trend continues? There is an area in India where this happened and polyandry (multiple husbands!) was the only solution.

This sounds completely selfish on the parents part. The probablity that these parents won't live long enough to see these twins grow up is great; therefore, are they not thinking about how the twins will strive and suffer with life as orphans?

What's wrong with the daughters being the sole heirs?

Furthermore, it's so scary how people believe it's O.K. to "play God" nowadays. I'm referring to "selected - sex abortions". People should be tremendously joyous with the offspring God creates for us, regardless the sex. People of our world today are control-freaks; i.e., they want to control everything to suit what they want, and are not grateful for what they do get otherwise.
