Medicine isn't our only option for allergy relief. Honey from local bees can help with your hay fever symptoms without the side effects and cost of medicine.

Could it be alternative medicine? I do have idea!

In my opinion and experience I definitely think it could be an alternative therapy for allergies. I have moved around the Southeast quite a bit, and NC was the first place anyone ever told me to eat the local honey to prevent allergies. I've never had allergies before (i lived in GA) , but spring came in NC and I had them, Honey (LOCAL, RAW, UNFILTERED) actually relieved most of my symptoms after a few days taking 1 tbsp 2x day. I've since moved back to GA and started eating local honey in Feb to prevent allergies. Great success!

I wonder if it would work on my dog? He is suffering terribly and scratching himself silly.

Lee, honey may work for your dog. It probably won't hurt him unless he is diabetic. Another cure for itchy skin is oatmeal, ground very fine in a blender and added to warm water. Bathe the dog in it, making sure to get it onto the skin and rinse with warm water.

Lee, that is a good question if it will work with animals. I'll have to look into that!
