Saw this on the news. How horrible. Do you think he had a mental problem? This was an apt. Did not anyone in his bldg. notice or turn him in before those poor animals met their cruel fate?

Noted. Absolutely shocking! I have no idea how he could have so many cats in an apartment. We have 5 and that is our limit. I hope charges of some kind are dealt to this man. Thanks so much, Tamara.

Sadly noted, thoses poor cats and so many, maybe he was an animal hoarder and they were'nt speyed/neuter and it all got out of hand and he could'nt cope but he should have asked for help!!! I have four rescued cats that i adore and it costs money to take care of them properly and with 155 he was'nt able to take care of their welfare. So sad.No excuse though for all these innocent cats who suffered.R.I.P kitty cats.Bless you all.Thank you Tamara.Liz Xx

Sadly, many people think they are helping stray cats by taking numerous amounts of them in to their homes. When they cannot afford to care for all of them properly it then becomes an animal cruelty issue.

When are we going to get smart and start executing these psychopaths? Psychopaths abuse animals today and kill people tomorrow!

I am going to speak up for this man, I think someone should. Yes it is a horrible thing to find so many dead cats. But some people are compelled to help wherever they can. Windsor Ontario is very cold and covered with snow this time of year, apart from the recent January thaw that has just ended. Life for stray cats in our winter weather is unimaginable.

Maybe this man just doesn't see that where he thinks he is helping, he is just making things worse. So many shelters in Canada are kill shelters and that may have put him off of asking for help for the cats. We have an overabundance of stray cats here. I think we should not call him a psychopath or other nasty names until we get the whole story, and we certainly do not have the whole story at this point do we? It is good to remember that not all humans have the full use of their brain or intellect and someone not quite working with a full deck can make stupid mistakes like this man did without even realizing it.

And by the way, if you take a dead cat to a shelter, or vet, or your animal dies in either establishment, they are recycled into pet food! I was horrified when my cat Topaz died at the vet's surgery after being attacked by 3 big dogs and the vet told me that. I ended up having to pay a huge fee to have her buried in the pet cemetery. The only place that was allowed to be was on the Caughnawaga (Mohawk) Reservation. There was no pet cemetery in the City, and you had to have a car to get to the reservation cemetery. I didn't have a car but was able to borrow one. Not everyone could have afforded to do that.
