Syrian opposition sources said helicopters from President Bashar al-Assad's military pounded a rebel-held part of the city on Saturday and armored units were positioned for an onslaught that could determine its fate.

Oh if only Russia would act in the UN to save the citizens of Aleppo and Syria as a whole. However they either won't, or will save their intervention till the last minute - as then they may be hailed as a saviour.... they don't care who dies, so long as their power is increased.
