- 2016 days ago -
Last week at the 2012 Republican National Convention, the party made its official stance on women's health perfectly clear: Outlawing abortion is much more important than protecting a woman's fundamental right to quality, affordable health care,...

an, I long for the days when there were SANE Republicans that one could hold a RESPECTFUL, CONGENIAL conversation with and not be enemies after the conversations. Sigh. Thoise days are gone my peeps and I fear they will never come again. What we have now is a FASCIST party with braindead jackboots who adhere to a total devestation for all mentality... except for the obscenely wealthy of course, who are the upper REICH of the Tea Party/Republican/Conservative regime. So much hate and division.

I agree, Heidi, any women who votes for their own demise will get what they play spades. Unfortunately, ALL women will suffer, become Chattel, brood mares, property of their fathers, brothers, uncles and husbands. Basically the AMERICAN version of the TALIBAN. And by the time they will get done, women will not be able to vote, hold a job of consequence, teach, hold property in her own right or get a good higher education. Because, really, what does a good hous frau need with a degree in anything other than home economics. She will no longer be able to determine her own future. Sick, perverse, hateful and horrifying to me.

If it comes to pass, by vote or by theft and election fraud/tampering....start slamming your theighs shut ladies or run to the nearest GYN dr and get fixed before it's illegal too because contraceptions days will be numbered and your life as you know it will no longer exist save at the behest of men.

So, it is very simple, for me.....Obama = Democracy (or what's left of it) and Rmoney = FASCISM and mid-19th centuary living for all....except the very wealthy of course.

Republicans need to find out the hard way this November that women are not going back to the old days when they had no rights.

There is no more republician party, can you see....Ike, abe lincoln, the REAL republician party, acting like these monsters just look at how they have acted for months, from wars on women to putting down girl scouts!!!!!!!. And there are adult people that act like brainless..........ZOMBIES, And worship the ground these evil people walk on. We who can still use OUR OWN MINDS need to get out and vote and try to wake up these seem to be brain-dead to see the truth before our country is beyound.......REPAIR!!!!!!!!. Diana.

Perhaps one answer to the question of "what's wrong with Republican women" is found in the fact that Ann Romney's speech was 7 grade levels lower than the speech given by Michelle Obama. Quite interesting.

Noted...I find the Republican's "view" of women's health care to be unnaturally disturbing...the simple fact that it can (if desired by the woman) produce LIFE should be the ultimate reason to respect, honor and protect a woman's right to the best health care available. Being a woman shouldn't mean to be treated as a "broodmare". It's frigthening to think of a nation where women will be treated as such...with no purpose but to serve the needs of a man..

Yes, indeed, Rmoney & cronies will repeal all womens rights. Not only that they will ruin everything else except life for the top 2%; think environment and all other issues. He wants to increase the bloated, incompetent military by 100,000 which is a horrendous idea. He crows that he will provide jobs. Yes, his jobs will be $7/hour and no benefits. We don't even know the guy; let's hear more about his Mormon religion, which is steeped in oppressing women. BushBoy spent 8 years creating the economic mess; why expect Obama to fix it in 4 years. Please, there will be no going back. Get out and do all you can to re-elect Obama.

Saddam Hussein at one time threatened women with imprisonment if they could not show why they did not produce children regularly. He wanted a big army. Is this why the Republicans are doing this?

Terrie Williams (798)

Probably, Alexandra. They have a reserve right now of over 12 million people they can use for cannon fodder. There's their 'jobs bill'.....the only job openings under Rethugs will be in the armed forces since they have this wet dream of being on the ground in five different countries simultaneously.

Women's rights would have not hardly have a future if Republicans won.

Phillipa W (199)
Monday September 10, 2012, 9:23 am
I don't know Alexandra, in order to produce cannon fodder these women still need pre-natal care and be able to raise these children somehow. none of this makes any sense except for the fact they want women to formally be the property of men - as long as these men are pro-life and only enjoy sex when it's babymaking time.

I understand conservative thinking, I simply, don't agree with most of their ideas. Should I say, in the past, I have concurred with them on some issues, but, this current group is so far removed from morals and reality, they are not to be admired or respected.

Nonetheless, how anyone could vote for the Republican party, as we speak, is incomprehensible to me.
The racism and misogyny are arduous to comprehend.
Are the conservative women completely brain-washed and unable to think for themselves?
We must be teaching our daughters, still in this day and age, to be puppets and do as you are told.
It's horribly disgusting!!!
