A lot of these racist laws will ultimately be thrown out. That being said, organizers need to conduct identification drives to not only inform voters of the new laws, but to also help them get the basic forms of identification they may need to overcome the hurdles their states have thrown in their path.

If a state wishes to change voter ID laws then nothing less than a 2 year period should be a part of that law. For some I have worked with, they can not afford a certified copy of their birth certificate, some can not afford to take time off from work to stand in line to get this ID. If there were any proof - and there is none, that voter fraud was real, why then does this only come up now? What is real, and has been proven is election fraud, and this is just one more way it rears it's ugly head. If you can't win a fair election then rig who can vote. The ACLU is fighting this in every state, and even with some wins, the states are appealing the decisions, not because they can win, rather to attempt to procrastinate till after the election.

if the GOP cared about people and would work to do good for the masses rather than just their rich donors and religious radicals they wouldn't have to suppress......I sure hope the courts will throw out these restrictions......
