Andy was much, much cooler than most people remember. Despite frequently being misrepresented as "pop," Andy Williams had an incredible jazz sensibility. Even "Moon River" has nuance. He was quite cool and will be missed.

Moon River was one of my first piano pieces! Andy Williams was a gentleman and yes, a smooth songster. Don't forget Where Do I Begin from Love Story. RIP huckleberry friend.

In Nov 2003 I went on bus tour to Branson; AW's was one of the shows. It was a 'fantasy' evening. Lots of trees outside Moon River theater, it was snowing or raining (forgot which) lots of lights on outdoor trees approaching the bldg. Lots on trees on indoor stage, as well. I believe Ann Margaret was on the program that night, as well. Also remember the first half AW wore such tight pants. Second half, different/better pants!

I used to watch the Andy Williams show when we first moved to the US, and he made this new, strange, foreign place seem welcoming and happy. Moon River inspired new romantic ideas and dreams that remained deep in my heart. RIP Andy, you were so loved by so many.
