10,000 BC to 1945 AD: all foods were organic. We have poisoned ourselves and this planet in less than seventy years.

Read her book in late 1960's and it really opened my eyes. If only the greens had of won hearts and minds then maybe we wouldn't have been in this mess now. Carson must be yelling from beyond.

We are reaching the point of no return. Herbicides, pesticides, geneticaly modified foods , climate change, fraking, tar sands, deforestation. Canadian Government selling the country to big oil companies with no regard for the environment - Omnibus Bill C38 passed in the spring. An other Omnibus Bill to be passed in Fall 2012. Dangerous times! But I'm not giving up. Will continues to try and keep informed, sign petitions and make my voice heard loud and clear whenever I can. Surely sanity will prevail...
