The Bureau of Land Management faced a crisis this spring. The agency protects and manages herds of wild horses that still roam the American West, rounding up thousands of them each year to keep populations stable.

Some people are without decency and integrity, and will do absolutely anything for money.

They are rounded up and sold simply because they compete for the same resources on public lands that are needed for cattle ranchers. In my opinion the cattle ranchers are the problem, not the wild horses.

this is heartbreaking but it pisses me off even more excuse my language! It infuriates me so very much that wild horses that do NOTHING to bother anyone are rounded up and the ones that survive th eround up end up at auction for slaughter its disgusting and America should be ashamed i know i am! wild horses arent the only horses endingup at slaughter houses when a race horse is retired even those who win are made to breed if they arent good at that they too end up at slaughter houses dont believe me look it up

I don't often post this type of story because it hurts me so much knowing that I can do little if anything to help.

These horses should be microchipped before being sold, and be put on a DO NOT AUCTION list- so if the person who buys them from the gov't later decides to sell them, they couldn't end up at auction for the kill-buyers.
