On Labor Day, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) characterized the holiday "a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country" as a celebration not of the worker, but of...

That proves that Lord Willard's 41% remarks were not just a gaffe. This is the basis for Republican policy.

The Repugnant Party has figured out how to manipulate voters emotions to get elected. Truth does not matter to them, apparently.

From union busting by Reagan, to the war mongering Bushes, the Greedy Old Party has abandoned the principles of Lincoln and Eisenhower in search of power and wealth.

Paul Ryan speaks the Truth.
Anyone who has ever run a small business knows that nobody (like ahem, the government ) does it for you.
You live , eat & breathe your business - it is hard work -done by the business owner.

Only business owners work hard? Really? Veterans haven't worked hard? Those seniors and retired folk just laid around their entire life? Students don't do a thing? Working families don't juggle kids, bills and trying to keep food on the table? I'm sure most business owners do work hard - and then there are those business owners who make $100,000 a year just by putting CEO after their name.....
Little Eddie Munster gives me the creeps, too....

I beg to differ with Ryan and his "Only business owners work hard" REALLY Ryan i suppose the rest of us are frigging relaxing what a STUPID thing to say just foolish ive been working since i was 14 and never owned a bussiness but i can assure you i NEVER had it easy and ALWAYS worked hard as MOST of us do who dont have a silver spoon in our mouths at birth i swear Romney and Ryan MAKE ME SICK! Also its us apparently insignificant( to Romney and Ryan) people who pays MOST of the frigging taxes and its US little folks who keep this country afloat with our taxes as we already know that the rich pay LESS than us WAY LESS MOOCHERS

A silver spoon in his mouth? OK now I know you haven't done your research

Where does he say ONLY business owners do that? I know it may be hard for some of you to process what is being said but he is saying that no one does those things for those business owners...not that no one BUT business owners to it. Try real hard to put your comprehension hats on.

Lynn L - So you did it completely alone - then you must have done it, not only without employees, but without CUSTOMERS. I'd be really interested to hear what kind of business can survive without customers. If R&R win we may find out, because no one in the truly hard working former middle class will have a dime to spend.

Lynn L., I am guessing that you have no actual experience, either personally or through immediate family, of what it is to run a business and make it grow into a success.

Ryan, who has never had to hold a real job or run a business from scratch, hasn't the faintest clue of how integrated the relationship between a successful business and reliable, dedicated, happy employees is. No business owner has ever done it on his own. My grandfather did it, with both his manufacturing firm as well as the small tavern that he opened and ran until his death. Neither time did he do it alone. He had banks giving loans, employees that were dedicated to making the business grow, so that they would have a future and the help from the community that gave him his customer base.
Take any of those away from the business owner and his company WILL fail. Ryan/Romney don't get it because they have NEVER had to actually produce anything or built a REAL business on their own with money that was not "daddy's money".

Wow, insult people much there Nan L.? Jump to many conclusions? Do you feel all superior now? I don't want to burst your little bubble you have going for you, but on this site there are republicans, democrats, liberals, green party and independents. We have one thing in common-we don't care for insulting rude behavior aimed at others that have expressed their opinion. We agree to disagree on some things, particularly politics. Being insulting to another Care 2 member is not an agreeable behavior. I would hope you are big enough to apologize.

"Look, all we mean is that nobody else gets up at 5:00 AM and opens the doors. Nobody else works 7 days a week. Nobody else takes the risks. Nobody else meets the payroll. Nobody else goes to the bank."

His words above and I know that it's a lie. Plenty of people I know do those things.

"RYAN: And when he says, if you have a small business you didn’t build that. Look, all we mean is that nobody else gets up at 5:00 AM and opens the doors. Nobody else works 7 days a week. Nobody else takes the risks. Nobody else meets the payroll. Nobody else goes to the bank. These are businesses that are built by the sweat, toil, and hard work of workers in this country of businesses in this country and that’s what makes this country grow. '

Not only can this man barely speak the English language, he certainly can't understand, because that is NOT at all what the President said and it has been pointed out often enough by people the country over - how is it that Paul continues to spout what he knows is an outright lie? Well, apart from that being the official slogan of their campaign, I mean, the "we can't be bothered with fact checking" part, which is the essence of their entire winter and summer. Mitt said, well, if we find something is wrong, we'll correct it. He lied. The lies are still up at his campaign site, the lying ads are still running, and Paul Ryan has proven himself to be a complete fool not only by his behavior on the trail, but by accepting the nomination in the first place. I am sure he'll get part of what he deserves, a resounding thumping on 11/6, but now that the people of America know him and his radical policy ideas, I hope it ends his career on the national stage too and he gets laughed out of the arena in 2016. That would be poetic justice. Liars just can't seem to stop. I wonder if there is a 12 step program for that these two can check themselves into on 11/7.

Hey, all one has to do is listen to what the man said. He did not say only business owners work hard. I can't help it if they can't comprehend that.

where is he? where is he? I want to go knock some sense into him. If you are in business for yourself, employ ONLY yourself then you can pat yourself on the back. Pimps have protitutes working for them. ..unless they free lance. A pimp without a "ho" aint no pimp.

I worked for doctors and dentists for many years. Sometimes as office manager, sometimes as secretary/bookkeeper/receptionist. Guess who opened the office before the doctor got in? Guess who went to lunch last, if at all? Guess who stayed late, ran computer backups, and then made the bank deposits? All done hours after the good doctor/owner was long gone. And I was on salary. I didn't know what a 40 hour work week was!

You know, Lynn L., that's an insult!
I have gad a 45 year career in the health field, and have worked my butt off for non-profit and profit companies alike.
No, I do not own a company, small or big, do not have that much at stake, nor do I abuse and bully my staff, as sooo many small business owners (NOT ALL!) do.

Business owners certainly do work hard to make a business successful. However, has Mr. Ryan attempted to run a company without a management team or the workers who process and ship the orders; or the data clerks etc.? No? STFU

This little Duo that's trying to finish off the middle class. I'm so anxious for the election and the President to be re-elected so we can MOVE ON AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD but we have to ALSO give him a Congress that will work for the people in this country instead of the corporate cronies of the Right Wing. These ARROGANT and completely LYING BUFFOONS are cut from the same cloth as Bush/Cheney. We've got to pay attention, register Inde, vote anyway you want but if we come out of this with the same or more Regurgitating Republicans in Congress they will hold this country hostage AGAIN just for shear revenge. When you're dealing with blatant lying frauds with no moral compass or shame the only way to make them irrelevent is to expose them, take their sorry butts out of power and try to choose someone that has a voting record of choosing to protect the middle class. This Nation DOES NOT grow from the top down, never has and NEVER WILL. We've had lots and lots of experience with THAT plan and we've consistantly LOST every single time. I'm voting straight Dem this year, first time, as my REVENGE for what the horrid Republican Party has delibertly done to this country and wants to STILL continue to do to us.
