What's next--the TV stations not even bothering to run shows at all in the days before an election with 100% of the time political ads? I know, I know, that would defeat the purpose since no one would be watching...maybe each half hour show ends up requiring an hour because of the volume of political ads as more PACs enter the frey?

That should actually say, Romney is trying to BUY the presidency by spending his SuperPac millions in the last three weeks of his ill-fated candidacy because he knows the only way he can possibly be elected president is by fooling some independent voters into thinking he is someone he is not, one of them. This act by a desperate man should be viewed with compassion for his pathological inability to tell the simple truth and his deep-seated need to be liked by people he plans to do enormous harm to. And NO votes. Compassion is one thing, votes are quite another. Sociopaths can't tell the truth either and we don't want one in the Oval Office. Shudder.

I live in Ohio and the ads are on constantly! The robocalls are insane and the campaign junk mail comes daily. The right is lying through their teeth, using fear mongering, and race baiting-DISGUSTING.

It won't change the fact that Romney is a sociopath.

since he can't keep any positions or tell us details of his plans....he has to hope that the American voter will only vote for the last details he or see shes (i.e. why would one debate be so important, both of these men have been telling us their ideas/plans/thoughts and living their goals these past years...one debate just showed who was a better debater that night...it should be about issues).....trying to swing the election by the idea that policies don't matter...just make the last thought before someone votes "bad" about the other.....


BY THE WAY, THIS IS WHY I SUPPORT PUBLIC FINANCED ELECTIONS WITH VERY VERY SHORT CAMPAIGN SEASONS....of course, that too probably makes me a socialist......and I know what it means....

This is called the Election Industry. Corporate Media loves it. Well, it certainly goes hand-in-hand with our other prime industries today....advertising, investment, banking, fracking, oil pipelines, entertainment....and what do these industries produce? Something tangible and useful to citizens? Ooops, sorry...I guess the entertainment industry at least makes movies & music.
It was either SNL or Maher that did a bit on this....saying that with the Election Industry so profitable, we were going to start having more of them....

Simply not true! What you see is the horrible effects of the super pacs who are doing all this for both sides. In fact, Obama has raised an obscene amount of money and spent most on ads. Romney fares far worse in fund raising and has sponsored many fewer ads.

In either case the whole thing is obscene when you consider they have spoenty collectively over 1/2 billion just in the battleground states! imagine what good could have been done with that money!

I watched Frontline about both men, Obama and Romney, and what a good description of each one. Obama wants to unite American, he said we are black, white, brown, all colors and said United States of America. Romney is the bottom line and money. Will fire anyone to save money for the wealthy owner and Obama does not count money in his directing of the economy. Romney is a stark business man. I don't want a business man I want a man that will govern with passion and that is the difference. We are The United States of America. Kick racism out.
