Great. The election of the most powerful man on Earth may be decided by people who live in the middle ages.

Has anyone tried telling the fools that the climate is demon possessed by carbon demons?

Not at all surprising to me that Romney's supporters don't believe in climate change, but it is pathetic.

Saturday November 3, 2012, 8:42 am
Of course they would believe in demonic possession, a number of their politicians are examples of those possessed! What else can explain their self-centered views and spewing of lies? Besides when the devil makes you do something, then you are not responsible, right? And heaven forbid they have to answer for their nasty ways, like when Romney wanted to get rid of FEMA because it's "immoral" to spend that money for disaster relief.... Of course now he has changed his tune to get votes, the little devil!

Also that they prefer sketchy information that cannot be proved but must be accepted by faith shows why they negate science, abhor fact checkers, and watch Fox News.

I laugh out loud when I see fat ass Rush Limbaugh (head devil who answers only to Grover Norquist, Beelzebub himself) sweating and spitting and guffawing with his huge cigar...God, what an UNAPPEALING, nasty man! YECH! Then there is always 2nd in command Buffoon Donald Trump - another one that makes me laugh out loud! What the hell is up with that hair? But the real demon is Global Climate Change. I live in the Midwest, smack dab in the middle of the USA, and am thinking of reviewing my insurance coverage and adding a few things, such as flood insurance.(normally unheard of for my location). Two years ago we had what was called a "Land Based Hurricane" roar thru our neighborhood, knocking down old, huge trees and splattering all the 3-level condos with leaves right up to the roof! I've never seen anything like it and I live in the land of tornadoes! Nope - not taking any chances anymore.

what the hell is it with republicans and their denial of climate change it just boggles my mind

Patrick Donovan (329)

They were probably unduly influenced by the "Exorcist 2" at some point in their lives. Either that, or were lobotomized as children.

Jae A. (320)

It is what happens to a group of people when they prefer the minds of small children when thinking on important topics....mythical demands are far more interesting and scarier to them than the reality of climate change...Of course the Republican Party also wants to cut more from education in all their budgets crazieness when on the topic of budget cuts...perhaps this is one reason for would help to keep more generations from growing up being informed and from givin climate change serious doing so goes way against certain Corporate interest/profits.

You are so right about that Pam W. Here is a link I think you'll find interesting about one of those in particular who have relgion on their mind...far over his concerns of climate change.... should they 'win' an election :-). This person is also against science and anything to do with climate change other than if it provides corporates with more profits... but he sure has his religious views in his mirror :

"Watch Mitt Romney Explain How Jesus Will Reign for 1,000 Years When He Returns, in Jerusalem... and Missouri."

Thanks Carrie for another right on /interesting article ! We are all in this together and together we must help to save the earth ...and for certain start focusing on this very serious topic of climate change and how to get rid of those who fight all efforts of doing all that we can to at least slow it down...or make sure all are prepared and informed as to what it all does mean at this time to the world ! This U.S. has lead the way for the NaySayers/Climate Change Deniers for far too many decades on this issue I think.

This is very disturbing. I'm stunned that Republican voters are this lost. It's like they've gone back to the dark ages.

I'm with Jae A - I'm repeating Jae's post again: "Watch Mitt Romney Explain How Jesus Will Reign for 1,000 Years When He Returns, in Jerusalem... and Missouri."
Everyone needs to see this film of Romney and forward it to everyone you know ASAP! I DO think Romney believes he is the 2nd Christ! WOW! SCARY!

Carrie - I LOVE your posts. Keep them coming!

"Most Republicans Believe In Demon Possession, Less Than Half Believe In Climate Change". This should surprise no one since we know they believe in "trickle down" economics. Thanks Carrie, read and noted.

Hmmmm. Isn't this how the classical world turned into the dark ages centuries ago? Scientific thought was bullied out of existence and superstition floated to the top as c--p occasionally does.

This is hardly a revelation as the Republican party has been demonstrating many ideas which are sort of backwards to say the least they are starting to bypass the last eight hundred years of progress. Still I bet there would be a lot of liberals who would not be surprised if Mittens and Ryan's heads started spinning around whilst vomiting green bile as they tend to do that pretty regularly.

Why does believing in "demons" have anything to do with voting for a good person to be our President? Yes, I believe that "evil" is present in this world. This is my belief. Why criticize/judge someone for what is a belief for them. It may not be what you believe. Keep your thoughts to yourself. The same thing goes for "global warming." I believe the jury is still out on a final decision. Pollution could have an impact., so stop trying to solidify something that is not a proven fact.

Joanne! Kudos!
Koch Brothers= Big Oil/bought the Gop begining in 1998/ now WE and the rest of the World can see it/they are not stopping (could use those billions to produce the cars that are being developed in germany & UK that run on AIR & solar batteries with NO emissions, that go 80 mph on the freeways and to help people all over the world grow safe sustainable food and have safe water and stop this Global Warming....but, NO! they prefer World domination, country by country and Romney is just a puppet, to control the USA, by signing things that a President can...they bought the majority of our GOP which is why WE have the most disfunctional, obstuctionist for America's best interests, the people and the land, Congress , House in USA History at a time when WE have had an intelligent President that the facts prove, no President has ever gotten this much done for the People against such Big Private Money and the dysfunctional Polititions that work for that money, i.e. the Koch Brothers.
I received an e-mail today that corralated Climate Change to a baseball Player using Steroids...the man grows really big, strong and angry and his body has permanent changes that are irreversable and destroys it is with CO2 gasses in our atmosphere..they are the "steroids" of our climate and their destructive effects on the Earth and Life are irreversable..and they will get stronger, angrier and more destructive..the REALITY is in the facts of documentation, of realtime history, the now and last week, last month last year, since the 1960's...It is our responsability as logical and humane people in 2012 and on, to address this and be the change.....we do it by living our lives personally everyday, petitioning and VOTING !!!!...and sharing the truth with one another!.....Tom is very correct, Carbon is a demon and so are the GOP's that work for the Koch Brother's 2012...they sold out the American People, our Country and the rest of the World......SO DONOT VOTE FOR THEM!!!!......VOTE FOR LIFE!! Obama and any descent Democrat in your area on every leval of Government!..and after Tuesday, the fight IS NOT OVER!!!..there are more of us, then those that would destroy the Earth.....and people all over the Earth are empowering their voices!!!

As I said, in a comment, before Sandy got in the way, the Republicans, Tea Party folk, live in an country of their own, called Delusonia, in which one can believe in ANYTHING one desires, and in which there is a constitutional amendment doing away with fact checking!
The fellow who founded the Creationist Museum, said,, on TV, that "when the evidence for evolution became overwhelming," (HIS WORD) he knew he had to do something: bury his head deeper in the sand!!!, and create the museum.

Why does this not surprise me? These are people born with silver spoons in the mouths and NO thinking caps at all. And THEY think they should run the country? Please. They can't run anything for long without needing a bailout. From us. Again. These may be the most, or darn near anyway, delusional people on earth. Perhaps they'll begin to understand this a bit better when rising sea levels force them inland. I wonder who they'll blame that on?

Gene Jacobson - I have someone sending emails who is a Catholic. She passed on a chain letter explaining that global warming is not caused by greenhouse gases but is caused by sin: abortion, homosexuality and a long list of such.
People of sense must take on some responsibility for such a large number of deluded people in their country.
We need to be much nicer to the deluded ones and help them to face reality bit by bit, so that they don't disintegrate from shock.
