"“We never talked to Elizabeth about our book,” Tom Smart said. “We did not want to tell her story. We want her to tell her story.” " ...... What??

You noticed that too Pat? I'm wondering if it is a case of poor wording or...

I remember exactly where I was - at a store where they had a TV going - when they announced Elizabeth Smart had been found alive....I couldn't believe it and was overjoyed at the announcement!

I don't think the wording was wrong, Tom's book was about the investigation, whereas Elizabeth's story will be her own account of her ordeal. Thanks.

Good on her for surviving and using her experience to create some good for the abused children and for herself.

Noted with thanks Carrie.
I am so happy that Elizabeth has started The Elizabeth Smart Foundation to help other kidnapped and abused children and ultimately herself. She has a lot of faith and courage that must have helped to survive such a terrible ordeal.
