I did not spend Thanksgiving evening with my wife and my five children. I spent it, instead, handing out turkey sandwiches to workers in Walmart.

I wish this guy was back in Congress!
It makes me sick what a huge, uncontrollable MONSTER Wal-Mart has become! They are SO rich - It must be because of GREED that they just haven't learned that a happy, well-paid employee makes everything alot better, a win-win situation... for their coworkers and alot more profitable for their employer! STUPID Walmart - paying for their low prices on the back of their employees with low hours, low wages and low bennies!

I must correct myself - I did more research on Alan Grayson and was overjoyed that Former Rep. Alan Grayson, a Democrat, won his House race in Florida on Tuesday night over his Republican challenger Todd Long. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad to read this about Grayson--I've admired him for so long....since he took to the House floor regarding the health care bill and stated that the GOP plan was for people who got sick to "die quickly." And, I await the new Congress where he will once again be representing his district. Thanks, Carrie.

It's a well-written article. I wish them all well but, considering how doggedly determined the WALMART family is to hang onto every dime....I don't think it'll be easy to negotiate a more equitable pay structure!

According to Forbes Magazine, the descendants of Sam Walton take up four of the top ten spots on the Richest People in America list --occupying numbers numbers 6, 7, 8 and 9. Each of them has a net worth in excess of $26 billion. I guess they didn't get that way by treating their employees like human beings... The fact that their employees comprise barely 10 percent of their cost of doing business speaks for itself. Kudos to Alan Grayson for bringing much needed attention to this abuse and for providing the employees who were forced to work through Thanksgiving Day with a free meal.

PS And guess who ranks in the two spots immediately above Sam Walton's descendants on Forbes' "Richest People in the Country" list? The Koch brothers, no less. Who's surprised?

I couldn't find an organic turkey breast to stuff so I used four organic chicken breasts; stuffed with cranberries and coated with raw honey, garlic, sage, basil, sea salt & pepper. Put the skillet on the lowest setting and just let them cook slowly.
I really do like the independent candidates. They deal with the issues while the two top dogs are busy slinging mud and yelling at each other with personal attacks like a couple of five year olds in a sand box. I hope that the policy shift in politics comes very soon.
