Now thats a news piece! I'd be thrilled to see the two run against each other, she may come out of that as the first KFC that was NOT eaten afterwards! More power to her!

Every person in Kentucky, who's voted for the chinless wonder, should be ashamed of themselves, and on top of that he's made himself filthy rich at the expense of the citizens of one of the poorest States in the Country...Mitch McConnell is a parasite, I'd love to see Ashley Judd, kick his ass...

I don't know or care what her qualifications are but they certainly have to be better than this creep.

Turtle man has his work cut out for him if Judd runs against him. Personally I would love to see it happen. She is one smart lady!

Seriously if you look at Mitch closely what I see is a human version of the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz...His face, and the face of the Scarecrow, are almosr identical..

Hoping she does not take after the Judd who cut her dog's vocal chords so it would not make sounds.

Ashley Judd completed a Masters Degree in Public Administration at Harvard so she has the brains to get the job done. Not just a pretty face. Go Ashley! :)

If this isn't an example of "Beauty and the Beast," I don't know what is! She's an activist who's well educated, smart, and a great speaker. I think she'd do a fine job.

She is an actor. She needs to stay there. At least Ronald Reagan was a governor. Susanne, you are merely speculating that she would do a good job.

Ronald Reagan was an actor before he was a governor, and he made plenty of missteps as President, granted, by today's GOP standards, he looks somewhat reasonable. Ashley Judd is a very intelligent woman and I also believe she has a career in politics if that is what she wants to do.

Well, I won't move to Kentucky to vote for her, but I will definitely contribute to her campaign. I think she'd be an incredible senator, she's brilliant and her acting career has nothing to do with that, if you've ever heard her speak on issues or read any of her work, it is obvious. That would be a wonderful event, taking out one of the most useless politicians this country has ever seen would be absolute joy to watch happen.

Noted. After Turtle McConnell filibustered himself today, he's opened the path for Ashley. She's well educated and intelligent; I'd also bet she won't be beholden to corrupt lobbyists and corporations. She's made her stand on environmental issues widely known as well. She'd get my vote if I lived there.
BTW, Fred Grandy, (from Love Boat), Jesse Ventura, and Sonny Bono were all in the entertainment profession before being elected....to name just a few.
