5 Groups of Americans Who Shouldn't Have the Right To Vote, According to Ted Nugent's Twisted Logic

Society & Culture  (tags: americans, politics, society, rights, culture, ethics, freedoms, celebrity )

- 1905 days ago -
The American right has so embraced the "makers versus takers" narrative (entirely false from the get-go) that despite a lot of talk about soul-searching and trying to reach out to people who aren't old, white and angry, they're having a hard time...

Unless the Constitution has changed, every KKK member, every convicted child molester, murderer, sadist, Satanist, has a right to vote. Ted Nugent is a problem?

Draft-dodging '70s rocker Ted Nugent sure loves his guns, automatic weapons and bows & arrows.

Loves to hunt defenseless animals.

Too bad Nugent never fought for his country, where there were soldiers out to kill, maim, to really
appreciate what he has - his life.

He complains about veterans: "Why should those greedy disabled veterans be able to vote for politicians that want us, the taxpayers, to foot the bill for their frivolous healthcare?"

Nugent is a poor excuse for a "human"... UGH!

Ty, Carrie.

The only insanity I see, is anyone who listens to whatever drivel comes out of Ted Nugent's mouth...If there was ever a time, I wouldn't feel bad hearing an Animal killed a human, would be the day I read, some Bear, or other big Animal killed Ted while he was out hunting...Teddy boy, you are just a sad, pathetic draft dodging loser...

Um, Jim, perhaps you should re-read the article. Nugent mentions no-one except those on welfare. The rest was made up by the writer.

I think that Nugent is a wacked out animal killer. However Nugent only said people on welfare shouldn't vote. The author of this article made up the rest of it.

Nugent is a washed up has been who's ignorance knows no bounds. His lack of compassion for animals, who he brutally kills and seems to enjoy doing it, and for people in need of assistance is deplorable. Who in their right mind will agree with this aged pile of doggy doo?

There are many veterans on welfare. Are you saying that those veterans, who fought for their country, US of A and are disabled from injuries sustained during their warfare, should NOT be allowed to vote...??? And should not be allowed to receive health benefits...??? And maybe not to receive welfare benefits...???

What about those veterans who are homeless... They are everywhere...

What about the veterans who are suffering from exposure to depleted uranium while serving and fighting - no real health benefits...??? The VA tells those soldiers that their deteriorating physical & mental health is all in their minds...
All the while that their own mind and body are "melting" right before their eyes...

John McCant recently voted against upgrading the benefits for veterans... Hmm... some "war hero"...

Yes, Nugent is a whacked out extremist. Someone should tell him that he owes, big time, to those disabled veterans on welfare for his lifestyle and his draft-dodging life.

Jim Phillips....perfectly said.

According to Ted. "Let's also stop the insanity by suspending the right to vote of any American who is on welfare. Once they get off welfare and are self-sustaining, they get their right to vote restored. No American on welfare should have the right to vote for tax increases on those Americans who are working and paying taxes to support them. That's insane."

Lets get one thing straight Ted. Most people on welfare would perfer NOT to be on Welfare. Many are asking for this temporary help due to the fact they can't find jobs in this economy, the low wages that they get paid if they should find a job doesn't allow them to pay the Day Care costs while they work and pay the shelter costs too. If the "other" parent would pay their child support that would also help keep many off of the welfare rolls, yet there is little help for the poor parent trying to raise the children in obtaining this child support.

Good for you that life went along nicely for you Ted, that you made money singing and playing a guitar. Not all are so fortunate. You should feel blessed that the stars shined brightly upon you and that you have more than enough to take care of not only your needs but all of your wants. There use to be an attitude that when one is so blessed it was a blessing to help others less fortunate, but that doesn't seem to be the case with many of you Greedy and Heartless Ones. All I hear is mine, mine, mine, like a spoiled bunch of brats on the playground.

Oh, yes, one further mention, this welfare money is less than half of one percent of the federal budget.

It also takes care of the children who have had no say in how the adults in their life who for whatever reason can not financially take care of them at this time. I suppose if it were up to the likes of you, you'd rather see starving children wasting away on the sidewalks or standing in line getting a cup of gruel within your own Country. Is that the type of America you want Ted?

The other people that tend to need help are the disabled and the Elders. But I suppose with your thinking that is ok if they too if they are left to flounder, sink or swim, die suffer and go away. Your thinking is exactly what the top of the article said, "twisted" and sick.

If Ted Nugent or anyone else wants to include Veterans (whether they were / are regular military or draftees) on the list, then I would like to add another very large group to the list of those who should not have any entitlement to vote. That group are the Draft-dodgers and other unpatriotic COWARDS who by one means or another have deliberately avoided military service for their country.

I never had any respect for "the Nuge" as a musician when he was at the height of his career. And just when I think I can't respect him any less . . .

Personally, I think that Ted Nugent and anyone who takes him seriously shouldn't be allowed to vote. He looks and behaves like the product of much too much inbreeding...

That makes no sense, Every citicent shouold have the right to vote. That's what democatcy is about.

I think what the Ted Nugents of the usa want is for the right to vote to go back to what is was before our Country grew and matured to be more inclusive of ALL it's citizens. The Nugents want it to return to the white landowners and if you are of color, female, or not owning land (look how many homes have gone into forclosure) then you just don't have a say.

It is stated by 2030 that the minorities of today will no longer be so. For these running on fear crazies, instead of embracing all people as Americans, they are fearful of this fact so are trying to tie up the power now with rules and laws to keep everyone else in their place, a lower place of no say and few rights. They would like to go WAY back to the so called "good old days"; that is what they mean when they want to take their Country back. They don't mean our Country, they are meaning their Country.

Unfortunately Carol we need to care as there are too many others who DO pay attention to him; and think because it is Ted Nugent famous and all that, they should listen to him. He is dangerous.

I guess I would not have the right to vote since I meet most of the criteria. But, what should I care? I don't waste my time voting anyway.

You should Cris, just so jerks like Ted don't get into office. Might I suggest if you don't like the two main parties you look into the 3rd parties. Many of us are moving over to them, includes myself, as I'm tired of the Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum parties.
