Forget the fiscal cliff. The real threat to the U.S. economy is not political stalemate in Washington but the Republican party itself.

isn't it amazing that none of you idiot liberals (communists) have said anything about odummys insane and wreckless spending. odummy and his cronies are doing everything they can to destroy this country the greatest and the most powerful country the world has ever seen and you fools want him to have the right to do what him and his buddies please. how long before we end up just like greece? our children and grandchildren will be living in a country that was destroyed by idiots that chose to willfully and wantonly have their way to print trillions of dollars and spend every last dollar of our grandchildrens futures you elect then re elect a community organizer that has a close friendship with terrorists and communists and supplying enemies of this country with arms and ammunition and fighter jets which is treason and you dont see anything wrong with any of that if you don't then you never cared at all about this country. there are a quite a few scary chapters that will be written about what is about to happen to this country and i just wonder how many of you will be alive to survive what will be taking place

Wrong, the biggest problem is the lack of adult leadership in both parties and the White House. We've lost the great middle that in turn made this country great.

If the republicans throw us off the fiscal cliff they will not win more elections. Many of their constituants are very poor. They only vote republican to imitate the wealthy. They think it will majically make them wealthy. It will not. They are cutting off their noses to spite their faces.

My dear MIchael - the only dummies in DC are the ones in Congress and there are plenty of them there. They would rather see the country go up in flames than support - oh, my - a Black President. IF you were informed, you would know that ~ "Amidst all the cries of Barack Obama being the most prolific big government spender the nation has ever suffered, Marketwatch is reporting that our president has actually been tighter with a buck than any United States president since Dwight D. Eisenhower" This comes from Forbes which in not in the habit of providing false information. Check it out for yourself.

All Repugs (not just Romney) don't give a damn about the 47% and rising. They want us to eat dog food and receive no health care. They are despicable creatures and rotten to the core. They need to be replaced before this country takes a big dump.

Both parties have let us down and continue to do so. Our Congress is made up of a pitiful excuse of governance. They refuse to do anything to benefit the American people. They just sit and collect their paychecks. It kind of reminds me of what many complain about when discussing welfare recipients. The only difference is many of the welfare recipients actually work and/or really need the help. Our Congress just receives money for breathing and not much else.

Michael---we are not Greece--- weíre not stuck with someone elseís currency for one thing.

CHECK OUT FORBES--- http://www.forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2012/05/24/who-is-the-smallest-gove

Our president OBAMA has actually been tighter with a buck than any United States president since Dwight D. Eisenhower A GRAPH WILL SHOW YOU JUST THAT !!!

You donít care about your offspring (chidren/grandchildren) enough to recognize that it is your own belief in free lunches ( i.e. no taxes) ..that will hurt your offspring .... and not liberal views of redistributing the wealth to the benefit of the citizens.
Over 10 years, the total revenue loss from the tax cuts to the weathiest .... comes to $3.9 trillion, according to the US Treasury.
Americaís own worst enemy is its corpocracy , the Devilís marriage between big business and your own republican party....and about 10 blue-dog democrats. . It is ruling and ruining America. Among advanced countries America has the greatest income inequality; highest unemployment; greatest insecurity over putting food on the table; lowest life expectancy at birth; and largest prison population (minus unaccountable corporate criminals). The corpocracy has also shrunk the middle class; catered to the wealthy elite; left millions of Americans without health insurance coverage; and has started endless, unwinnable, costly wars for profit and power that snuff out millions of lives, fuel terrorism against America, and sacrifice the general welfare.
The upper 1 percent of Americans are now taking in nearly a quarter of the nationís income every year. and not paying their fair share of taxes using all those writeoffs. Twenty-Six Major Corporations Paid No Corporate Income Tax for the Last Four Years, Despite Making Billions in Profits or set up accounts in the Caymen's to avoid paying taxes.

If I were Boehner, Cantor, McConnell etc the top republicans I wouldn't give into the democrats either with nothing else to hold-onto except NO TAXES for the RICH and DERGULATIONS that make the 1% happy.

Michael G, you have no idea of what you're talking about. Don't you care anything at all about your country? You really should be more careful with facts.

Viral Facebook post says Barack Obama has lowest spending record of any recent president

Who Is The Smallest Government Spender Since Eisenhower? Would You Believe It's Barack Obama?

This points out exactly why we needed to "clean
House" last election and we failed to do so. Even
John of Orange can't control the obstructionists.

Wow! Michael G. might be the new champion of the run-on sentence, but a critical thinker he is not.

And today's news is that Congress is getting a raise....for being "do-nothing" and working less days than any previous Congress. Hope the congressional phone lines are red hot tomorrow.....

O'leeery must be talking about bush's unpaid wars. I bet fox never told him that that sort of bankrupting the country has never been done before. There's a lot fox didn't tell him but they sure have him hating the wrong guys again. How can people be so blind to what started in early 2007? I don't get the depth of ignorance.
Now let's get some of that rich, greedy bastard revenue.

Unlike the highly informed commenters he refers to as "idiots" and "communists," it appears that the troll doesn't bother to read or do any research. Why go to the bother of looking for facts or digging for the truth when you hurl insults? Spending a few minutes on any of the highly-rated fact-checking sites might provide Michael with a badly needed reality check. Either speak with authority or don't speak at all.

Fox has become/is a disease. They create these idiots that sling BS like chimps in a cage. They elect to lose their own freedom by submission. How free can you be if you refuse to think independently?
