Most reports about business leaders--whether they come from academics, journalists, or consultants--tend to focus on the best cases, with lengthy attempts to explain why a particular company or its leader has been successful. But what about the worst?

I am not sure that we are judging int he best fashions. Judge them on how many they lay off, how often they deny benefits, how many pay cuts they ask for, and so on.

Green star to Nancy M - she's right and Prof Finklestein is only half right!

Those 5 are probably just a few out of hundreds and the tip of a troublesome iceberg. Thanks Carrie.

Thanks Carrie for the link to the article by Sydney Finkelstein. Unfortunately that just the tip of the iceberg. Read and noted.

There were SO MANY that abused the rights of the workers, too.

Thank You Carrie ~ this probably is just a few of very many that can't get over their own greed with no sense of what is right, and they feel no shame. CEO's are all overpaid, with huge benefits!

Few of these would make my list. I would focus more on those that abused workers, engaged in outright slavery or used subcontractors that utilized force labor or poisoned the environment beyond belief. Also, there are many others that have lost a great deal more money or been involved in much larger scandals.
