The Republican majority in the House of Representatives is reportedly preparing to reject the Senate bill to avoid the so-called "fiscal cliff," in a move that could devastate the economy.

Its always so funny to me that republicans are always calling for cuts when they are always the ones spending all the money

If the House messes up this deal, they can kiss their House seats goodbye! The people are sick and tired of their BS!

You got that right Florence. They spend on all the wrong things!

Think Progress has this list of things Republicans in Congress have done to hurt the economy:
1. Filibustering the American Jobs Act.

2. Stonewalling monetary stimulus.

3. Threatening a debt default.

4. Cutting discretionary spending in the debt ceiling deal.

5. Cutting discretionary spending in the budget deal.

Now they want to back the NRA plan to put armed guards in all schools. Estimated costs for that are between $6 billion and $8 billion a year! Take money away from education so we can spend more money guarding the children we are no longer able to educate! Great plan.

we need to cut military spending and pay and benefits for Congress. Republicans always talk a good game of cutting spending but it's been Republican administrations which keep digging us deeper into debt.

However the Pentagon Budget already went to the President--I would have preferred it held hostage to reasonable other budget decisions being done first.
