The laugh-a-minute pro-celebrity puking bug known by the streetname "norovirus" continues to squirm its way through the population, effortlesslytransforming ordinarily carefree human beings into spluttering, sulphurous geysers of molten waste.

Very Funny Carrie! Since I have a touch of some virus - I don't think Norvo...but I will go and wash my hands again.

Thanmks Carrie for the link to the humorous but very serious article by Charlie Brooker. Washing my hands is just second nature to me as I worked in the medical field all my adult life and know the importance of doing so. Read and noted.

No, I certainly don't want it. I think we can all relate to that graphic at some point. It's something we can laugh about later, no fun at the time!

Although the article provided some well-known common sense advice, it appears that the author is fascinated by feces and preoccupied with puke. Or maybe he just has a sick sense of humor. I admit it. I laughed.

Yes - wash your hands, but just use ordinary soap, not hand sanitiser. These will eventually create a resistance to bugs.

I never enjoyed reading about a virus so much! It was really intoxicating. This article was witty and certainly contagiously amusing! However, it did get an important message across- about the importance of frequently washing your hands and not touching your nose, mouth, and eyes and any other object that someone else could have touched and if you do- wash your hands
before that Norovirus gets you!

Not really fond of "bathroom" humor, but the
message is clear and good - wash your hands!

As a nursing assistant for the last 26 years , I've been fortunate to only catch the dreaded Norovirus twice. Our facility is currently in 'lock-down' right now , in fact ! And yes , it's bad , and it spreads like wildfire , but it only lasts a day or two , thank God ! I laughed out loud at the little icon there !! OMG !! Too funny. Almost every staff member got it , despite all the handwashing and bleach. Some powerful virus !!

Thanks, Carrie, funny and shared. I also am careful to wash my hands...after I come home from the grocery store and I have touched a basket or cart...whenever. I,too, use good old plain anti-bacterials for this girl!

It's what we call "gastroenteritis" here. Much fun to be had upchucking and pooping ad infinitum, not. Last time I had it was 21 years ago *shiver* I still remember it vividly. Stay well, people :)

Plain water and soap will do, I do not hang around shopping centres to catch the bug. But my wife will eventuallly bring it home.
