There's a lot to be done. The children deserve that we do put ourselves out for them and address many of these issues and even do further research. A lot of clear thinking needs to be done.

There is no question, this is going to be an uphill battle. Combating the movie industry, computer games, children's access to the internet on top of the NRA, is going to take years of compromise. In this day and age,I don't envy any responsible parent trying to do what is in the best interest of their children.

One of my friends was surprised when her 6 year old grandson 'seemed to be hearing the news' even though he was playing in another room. He came to her with questions concerning violence and bad stories that he had heard on the evening news. I was shocked that adults did not understand that the 'background noise' of violence was making a huge impact on the security of the children in their homes.

The above comment by Claudia O. is absolutely correct. Even if you remove all the violent video games and TV shows, the news our Empire wishes us to see is promotion for war. (Always Follow the Money!) The Bush Doctrine flipped the way our country addresses the rest of the world....I haven't heard that Obama has come out with an Obama Doctrine, which could eliminate what Bush did, and mark change for the better.
