Nobody yet knows how severe this year's epidemic of influenza will be. Nobody can ever know in advance. Yet, the evidence that this one will be bad is mounting: in New York, where twenty children have already died ...

Yes! for goodness sake get a flu shot. I am battling it right now and it is not pleasant, and wash the hands, wash the hands...can also use the hand sanitizer...they have them at all the hospitals and clinics, so they must help also.
Thanks Carrie.

Those that get the shot and get sick could already have been exposed to the flu - the shot takes awhile to take effect. Also those that do not get the shot are a danger to others around you. We all have different immune systems. If you do not get the shot and get exposed, you could be a danger to someone around you who has a weaker immune system. It isn't called an epidemic for nothing! It's best to get as much protection as you can...better safe than sorry. And wash your hands...Dr Oz says wash with soap long enough to sing Happy Birthday twice...that flu germs are pesky. Good advice.

I wonder why so many wait until the last possible moment to get flu shots. They should be vaccinated before the Christmas holiday season! What's the problem folks?

Why poison yourself with the flu shot, they are worse for you than the flu is.

Read this before shooting up with big-pharma poison: http://drtenpenny.com/the-truth-about-the-flu-shot/ Do some research before poisoning yourself.

I got my last flu shot 10 years ago and was sort of like flu for 2 1/2 months. I've never had another one and have been flu free. I don't like the mercury and sheep's pus in the vaccine or the way big pharma promote it. Boost your immune system by however you know is my principle. If I get the flu I'll take my lumps.

People who regularly get the flu shot every single year should probably not change their habit. A friend of mine in the medical profession doesn't ever miss hers. Some time back I got really sick from the shot and never got another one....still don't.

I don't agree. By the evidence i've seen, the scientists missed their mark this year when they tried to guess which flu virus would spread this season. Everyone i know, who got the flu shot, (and i have a lot of retired friends who got the shot), got the flu, and just as bad and worse than those who did not get the flu shot.

If you are healthy with a working immune system then the flu should be nothing but a serious inconveinience. Having people who don't need the shot getting it is not only a huge waste of money (that goes to allthe wrong people) it takes them away from those who actually need them.

Please do your own research before taking the flu shot. How many more needles are we going to put into the human body, before we realise/remember, tnat what we really need is an immune system that is fully restored to a point where it can actually do its job....protect us!
We have to start taking responsibility for our bodies otherwise we will all end up as pharmaceutical cocktails!
