it doesn't even take 10 reasons when it is more than obvious( polls!) that is what MOST AMERICANS WANT.
Should be enough reason for govt to act!(in a demoracy at least, that is)

I agree - but here in UK - we struggle to understand why Obama is given such a hard time for trying to do the right thing.

Unless Obama changes his liberal attitude toward illegal immigration, he will get no where. The statement about our borders being more secure than ever is a flat out lie. Arizona, New Mexico, Calif. have no additional federal support to secure these borders.
This is not policy, it's political garbage. Put up a damn wall between Mexico and these states with check points,

We need immigration reform because, for one thing, we are a nation of immigrants (except for the native Americans against whom we perpetrated, or tried to do so, genocide); also, I see the hidden, hiding illegals as virtual slaves here. we know they are here, doing the work the rest of us often snub our noses at, and being underpaid, etc.

я просила не иммиграционную визу В2, чтобы просто навестить друзей, которые живут в США. В ней мне было отказано. Формулировка отказа унизила и оскорбила мое чувство национальной гордости. Отказ был на основании того, что я не смогла убедить консульского офицера, что у меня есть крепкие связи со своей страной. Меня не надо учить как любить свою Родину и рассматривать как потенциального иммигранта, те кто хочет уехать навсегда просят иммиграционные визы. Так предвзято относятся ко всем жителям Восточной Европы. Я бы очень хотела посмотреть на реакцию француза, немца или англичанина если бы ему предложили доказать что он не является потенциальным иммигрантом.
