The convulsions, pinpoint pupils and laboured breathing seen in victims of an alleged chemical attack in Syria could be symptoms of nerve gas, experts said Thursday, but only blood and urine samples can provide proof.

Sadly noted and shared. This is just outrageous 1,300 people dead including women and children and how many children are orphaned because of this crime. Do they not have a conscience to their deeds. My heart goes out to those who have been affected by this insane incident. The one's who caused this should really hang their heads in shame.

It was absolutely shocking when I saw the news piece today.
I can't get used to the idea that somebody out there can think about an attack like this and acually do it.
I know that world politics goes through that area of he globe right now, but besides these few ideas I can't hink of anything else right now.
I'm just shocked.

@GGma Sheila: Unfortunatelly nerve gas can be made by anyone, and a little can spread a long way.
Anyway, reports say the gas was released during a government attack, right? And in the very day of the 1st aniversary of Obama's statement that, and I quote “A red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized”.
Governments and very well organized armed organizations can both get sarin or any other nerve gas

When I think about the fact that Syria's president, Bashar al-Assad, is a trained physician, it makes me sick! He knows exactly what kind of suffering he's inflicting on his own people --and it doesn't seem to bother him. He's a failure as a doctor AND as a leader. We can only hope he gets what he deserves --and the sooner the better!

That's terrible! Assad should stop killing his own people.

THOSE responsible for this heinous crime will, hopefully, be determined, as soon as possible.
This could happen again, and it must be stopped. I hope the International Community, and the U.N. are able to negotiate a ceasefire, without further delay. The threat of another such attack is ever present
It seems to be the only possibility, right now, if not a "political" solution.

Refugees are surging into Iraq and elsewhere, with fewer places to go.

Dreamers Without Borders is now on f/b.
