And the show begins with the GOP/TP infighting...nobody knows, or even cares, what the rest of the party is saying, they're all fighting and lying and collecting those campaign checks...and splitting the GOP/TP apart into so many peices that the winners won't be entirely recognizable as GOP - the TP isn't participating, they're sitting back and watching...and inciting in the background. Because the TP will be the clear winners and take over the Republican Party. If this happens it will be the death of the GOP that we've come to know and ...tolerate.

When those GOP moderates not in agreement with the radicals in their group decide to abandon ship where will they go??? Watch and see - this could be part of Hilary's base, unless there's another Democrat that will appeal to them? Biden won't. Oh, the posibilities...

“Perhaps voters during the primary thought Bentivolio was merely offbeat or they were sympathetic to his standing up to the local GOP power structure,” said Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer. “However, now we have several reports of unstable behavior that call into question his fitness to serve as a U.S. Congressman, entrusted with making policy that impacts every single American. Every responsible voter in the Michigan’s 11th Congressional District must weigh these facts and consider the troubling implications if Bentivolio were elected to Congress.

“It’s time for Republicans to do the right thing — to put the good of Michigan ahead of their party. From my counterpart at the Michigan Republican Party to the National Republican Congressional Committee to his primary opponent Nancy Cassis and to Brooks Patterson, it’s time to step forward. Do they believe that Mr. Bentivolio is Santa Claus? Do they believe he is ready to lead? Do they believe he is fit to serve?”

Before the August primary, Michigan opinion writers had called Bentivolio a “goofball” (Detroit News, July 22, 2012) and “inept” (Oakland Press, June 14, 2012). Another columnist said that Bentivolio’s foreign policy would be “downright dangerous for America” (Oakland Press, August 25, 2012).

Since Bentivolio’s victory in the GOP primary, new revelations in the Detroit Free Press and Oakland Press have shown his troubling record as a teacher. The Free Press (August 22, 2012) revealed that Bentivolio earned a reprimand from superiors “for intimidating and threatening students by grabbing their desks and yelling in their faces or for slamming his fists on their desks.” The written reprimand stated, “Most students reported that they felt threatened and unsure of what [Bentivolio] would do.”

The Oakland Press (August 23, 2012) tracked down a student that reported Bentovolio “used to ask me and another female student to come over to his house and play with his reindeer all the time and said he would pay us to feed them and dress up as elves with them at Christmas time.”

A Detroit Free Press columnist described Bentivolio’s behavior in the classroom as “disturbing” (August 22, 2012).

However, Bentivolio’s pattern of unstable behavior dates back even further, according to another Detroit Free Press story that delved into court records from lawsuits involving Bentivolio’s business (October 14, 2012).

In a court deposition, Bentivolio stated, “I have a problem figuring out which one I really am, Santa Claus or Kerry Bentivolio. All my life I have been told I’m Kerry Bentivolio, and now, I am a Santa Claus, so now I prefer to be Santa Claus.” The Daily Caller noted that Bentivolio admitted to the judge, “Maybe I should have went to see a shrink” (October 15, 2012).

This weekend a Macomb Daily columnist finally said what many in the 11th District are thinking: “The only respectable response to this debacle is for the GOP voters” to reject Bentivolio. (October 20, 2012).

It appears that Ken Bentivolio has some mental health issues. President Obama needs to have committed an impeachable offense before articles of impeachment can be passed. A president cannot be impeached because the opposing party doesn't like him. (Why are we even having this conversation???)

The entire GOP is either unstable or deviously cruel. One of the greatest contradictions is when Paul Ryan always talks about the safety net as a trap that lulls the poor into laziness, and his budget likewise devotes enormous space to “repairing” the safety net, which he defines as slashing subsidies for health care, food, college, and other fripperies so poor people get off their lazy butts and make something of themselves .
But yet Paul Ryran's party has done nothing to help create jobs and have agreed after Obama's inauguration to say NO to everything. There are millions of people under-employed and need assistance or their children will go hungry....that's the other part of the disconnect.

Impeachment has been the battle cry of Republicans for years. They spent nearly 8 years trying to impeach Bill Clinton for everything from his extracurricular sex life to the fact that he married Hillary. Of course they want to impeach Obama; they want to impeach every non-Tea Partier in the country. If you can't beat 'em, impeach 'em.

This is an emotional comment and cannot be supported by any type of documentation. You are generalizing and you know it.

Bill Clinton was, indeed, impeached, but he was never charged after that. He lied while under oath....imagine that.

Impeaching Obama would not be good for our country. Obama has already done enough damage to our country and globally. We just have to suck it up and ride it out for the next several years. If Obama was impeached then we have "Slap Stick Joe" at the helm and he can't even remember which city he is in. That would be like going from a toothache to a double root canal.

Allan, the American people stood tall in 2010 and voted the spending democrats out and brought in their form of gridlock and gridlock it became. The Obama administration has created the perfect storm for a repeat performance in 2014. I would like to witness Obama facing a republican congress. How about you?

I want impeachment to happen as well, it's been a disaster from the beginning of Jan. of 2009. Obama is nothing but a very radicalized Socialist Muslim! And Hilary Clinton needs to face prosecution in the abandonment of the Benghazi disaster! Hilary is simply power hungry!

Obama admitted to being a muslim. As a young man, a citizen of Indonesia, he learned the hard Koran and was dropping to his knees multiple times a day on his prayer mat. That took place while young Barry Soretoro was an impressionable young man. Obama is conflicted. Personally, I don't believe Michelle is far more radical and racist than Obama. That is one angry woman.

Hillary Clinton is a bore. She is also a certified liar. I believe Bill and Hillary's marriage was always one of convenience because they both intended to be president one day. Hillary was asleep at the wheel with the Benghazi murders and she has been lying her way out of it from day one. Classic Clinton mantra is to deny, deny, deny. President Clinton lied under oath, the scoundrel, stating that he never had sex with "that woman." Well, "that" woman told an interesting story about Bill's cigars. And, of course, this was happening in OUR Oval Office. Now both of them think that their daughter, Chelsea, is presidential material. Uh, I don't think so....and I also don't believe our country is anywhere near electing a woman to the highest office in our country. Just not in the cards. You saw how Obama and the DNC kicked Hillary a good one and sent her sailing under a bus to make room for Barack.

However, back to the impeachment of Obama. It will be very bad for our country because Obama has already done enough damage both here and abroad that it would impact the American people in a very bad way.

I vote no for impeachment of Obama. He only has a few more years to go and the best ammunition we have is our vote in 2014. Time for Barry to face a republican congress. He won't have time to play golf when that happens.

Presidential Impeachment is a serious matter and the US Congress regards impeachment as a power to be used exclusively in extreme cases. In the history of America only two Presidents, Andrew Johnson in 1868 and Bill Clinton in 1998, have ever been impeached and both were acquitted.

The impeachment and removal of a President from office was provided for by the founders of the United States in the Constitution. Article II, Section 4 of the US Constitution deals specifically with the grounds for impeachment and states:

The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

Impeachment is a two-step process including both the US House of Representatives and the US Senate. Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5 of the US Constitution grants sole power of impeachment to the House of Representatives:

The House of Representatives shall chuse (choose) their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

In the House of Representatives, the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by the ranking member of majority party, draw up a formal list of allegations called the "Articles of Impeachment." If the charges are approved by a majority of Judiciary Committee members the "Articles of Impeachment" are then sent to the full House of Representatives where a simple majority vote is needed to continue the process. Upon this passage, the President has been officially been "impeached" and the impeachment is sent to the Senate for trial. Article 1, Section 3, Clause 6 of the US Constitution grants the sole power of trial to the Senate:

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

In the Senate, trial proceedings are initiated with the Chief Justice of the United States presiding. To convict the President, a two-thirds majority of senators present is required. A conviction in the Senate automatically removes the President of the United States from office.

There is no signs of any reason for impeachment without making up something and framing Obama. How do you frame a Harvard lawyer? You CAN'T!! You IDIOTS!!!

We continue to receive queries about claims and theories advanced by "birthers," who wish to believe that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the USA or that he somehow gave up his citizenship and thus is not qualified to hold the office he occupies. One is a claim, first advanced last year, that his trip to Pakistan in 1981 proves he must not have been a U.S. citizen because Americans were not permitted to travel there at the time.

This one is not quite as transparent as the April Fools’ Day hoax that took in many of these deniers of Obama’s birthplace bona fides. That one was a fabricated Associated Press story about Obama’s student records from Occidental College. But the Pakistan theory is just as false. The truth, easily proven, is that American citizens traveled freely to Pakistan in 1981.

Obama did go to Pakistan that year when he was 20 years old with a college friend, after first seeing his mother and half-sister in Indonesia. That much is true. When he mentioned the 1981 trip during a campaign appearance last year, it came as news, because he had not previously written of it in his books.

Some then speculated, or claimed outright, that Obama must have gotten into Pakistan using an Indonesian passport obtained while his mother was married to Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian man whom she had divorced the previous year. Under this theory, the young Obama had somehow become an Indonesian citizen. "Birthers" claimed that the Pakistan trip constituted indirect proof of Obama’s supposed Indonesian citizenship. Philadelphia lawyer Phil Berg even told the U.S. Supreme Court last year, before it refused to hear his case challenging Obama’s qualification to be president, that Pakistan "was on the State Department’s travel ban list for U.S. Citizens."

But that claim is quite false. There was no such ban. Americans traveled there without incident, as shown by a travel piece that appeared in the New York Times in 1981, dated June 14. Barbara Crossette, an assistant news editor of the Times, told her mostly American readers they could travel to Lahore, Pakistan, by air, rail or road, adding: "Tourists can obtain a free, 30-day visa (necessary for Americans) at border crossings and airports."

Her article prompted a letter to the Times from the U.S. consul general in Lahore saying he would "welcome an influx of Americans" to Lahore. He cautioned only that in addition to getting a visa for Pakistan, American visitors also should be careful to line up an Indian visa for the return trip if they planned to travel overland. The letter is dated Aug. 23, 1981.

Also, a travel advisory from the State Department dated Aug. 17, 1981 notes that Americans traveling to Pakistan require a 30-day visa, and that any staying longer must check in with Pakistan’s Foreigner Registration Office. A digital copy of the advisory is archived at the Electronic Research Collection, a partnership between the State Department and the Federal Depository Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

For those who missed it earlier, high-resolution images of Obama’s birth certificate are displayed as supporting documents to our article "Born in the U.S.A." The document meets the U.S. State Department’s requirements for proving U.S. citizenship. That, along with a 1961 newspaper announcement of his birth and statements last year by state officials in Hawaii, remove for us any doubt that Obama is indeed a natural-born citizen.

The "birthers" aren’t buying it. They, however, so far have produced what we judge to be zero credible evidence that Obama was born elsewhere, or that he later gave up U.S. citizenship. The false claim about a 1981 travel ban is typical of what’s been offered along those lines.

Although it is titled "Obama Admits He Is A Muslim," the president in fact has admitted no such thing. The video edits and twists his actual words, sometimes turning what were denials into false confessions. For example, it edits out the words "I’m a Christian" from one quote and "my Christian faith" from another. It shows him quoting from the Quran, but snips out his quotes from the Bible and the Talmud.

Although the video gives no citations and no dates, we have tracked down the full quotes from the various appearances. In the Analysis section that follows, we take the video section by section, comparing the edited quotes and graphics with the full reality of what Obama actually said.

We doubt many will take this nasty bit of misrepresentation seriously. Nevertheless, it provides an interesting case study of malicious editing.

Both sides have presented their beef with the other and should now quiet down and let things play out as they will eventually anyway. Find the longer the back-and-forth continues (few if ever change their mind), the longer it takes for history to get to the truth of the matter, which it eventually will.

In the meantime the split and divide is good for promoters, increasing their messages through personal character-bashing and cat fights. Any wonder nothing gets done ... everyone talks, no one listens.

No one has to go to the trouble of trying to "frame" Obama and really what does a Harvard Law degree have to do with anything? We don't even know if he attended classes. He had his records sealed and he never really practiced law of any kind. At best, he was a Saul Alinksy "Rules for Radicals" community organizer. There's absolutely nothing to suggest in the past five years that Obama is smart. He would've shown some signs of that by now. And, he hasn't.

Fox News has maintained the highest viewer cable rating for over 10 years. Always remember that Obama did not win either election by a landslide, far from it, and that translates into a divided country. Barely less than 50% of Americans did NOT vote for this arrogant incompetent.

Lazy right? Where did come from? The right believes in personal responsibility and getting off your butts and supporting yourselves. Nothing lazy about the right. But, now that you mention it, Obama did admit publicly that he is, in fact, lazy. I believe Barbara Walters held that interview. Even Michelle called him lazy. So, check that out.

Since Diane O. has taken us off topic ~ and I have spent countless hours reading her posts about how she and others of her and her racist GOP/Tea Party have worked to achieve their success and comfort ~ I am now asking Diane O. to tell us all about all of her trials an tribulations as a real real working American. I would really love to now about all of the jobs you held just so you could complete your education. I have a strange feeling everything you have was handed to you. Nothing required by you. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You are simply going the route of personal attacks rather than having a rebuttal to my comments on Obama's impeachment. I stated that I was not in favor of impeachment and I stated why I felt that way.

Personal attacks define who we are.
