Chobani Says Yogurt Problems Caused By Common Mold

The cause of a problem with Chobani Greek-style yogurt cups first reported over Labor Day weekend appears to be a type of mold "commonly found in the dairy environment," according to a spokeswoman for the yogurt company.

Wonderful, but what do they plan to do next? I don't consider myself to be a fussbudget (can't stand those types) but the whole "replace the “vast majority” of affected cups" thing doesn't sit right with me. A recall might be better in a situation like this. Thanks Carrie.

If they know its mold...they should recall all of the spoiled product.

Wont' find me buying this Chobani brand anytime soon. Actually I am sure we can't get that brand here in Alberta anyway....should have been an immediate recall.

I have never liked yogurt sometimes I feel guilty because there is such a hype about how good it is for you
