Premiums for insurance plans offered in the Affordable Care Act exchanges will be lower than expected, according to a new Kaiser Family Foundation study of the 17 states -- and the District of Columbia -- that have published their rates.

Republicans have nothing useful to propose, so the only thing they can do is attack. They prey on people's uncertainties about Obamacare because, since it hasn't completely gone into effect yet, they aren't sure how it will effect them.

And both NY and CA has been seeing consumers getting refunds from premiums that had been set higher than ACA permits the insurance companies to keep.

All the more Reason for the worker's to make better wages to pay their share too! This is good news for Obamacare and sure the GOP will sabotage things they held it up the whole way! Just sitting day after day!

You cannot currently send a star to JL because you have done so within the last day.

Thank you for sharing that information, JL A! You'd never see consumers getting refunds without some type of regulatory process. The health care industry is out to make money, and sick people --and even people who are simply striving to keep themselves and their families healthy-- are easy prey.

We're going to have to talk louder and more insistently than the dorky GOP - this is a great start, thanks!

It appears that the GOP would rather have thousands of people die, than to see the Affordable Care Act succeed. My disdain for the hate-filled, vile thinking Teabagging GOP increases with each passing day. Remember to VOTE!

Headline correct, nothing much was expected so this fits. Proof is in the pudding, stayed tuned ... and alert.

I'll stand on the side of the 40,000 longshoremen, specifically, who pulled out of Obamacare. Obviously, they know the truth. You can read and caress your biased left wing news outlets meanwhile I'll watch the longshoremen, companies reducing full time employees to part time status and Obama using every trick in the book to get the taxpayers to pay for special grants and his famous waivers....funded by the "rich" to pay for this crap bill.

I live in the real world. You can live in Obama's world which costs the taxpayers big bucks.

Obama's healthcare bill now known as a "tax" is going down the toilet. Smart people know that Obamacare reduces the medicare benefits in order to pay for it. Smart people know this.

Why don't the liberals know this?

Once again Diane ignores fact in favor of GOP/TP propaganda.

Of course there is less money being spent to publicize Obamacare than Medicaid "Part D," as the latter was a Republican financial gift to Big Pharma!
The Insurance industry will do anything it can,, by the way, to help put health care reform to sleep, will fund like crazy, and maintain ownership of the GOPutzheads.

Can anyone bring themselves to say "train wreck?" Incompetent president....bottom line. All Obama can do now is damage control. Interesting to watch Obama squirm. He would rather be on the golf course than lead the country.

Obamacare is nothing more than a building block for socialized medicine in America. It tanked. We cannot be compared to other countries and their healthcare running into the ground. Citizens in European countries are paying out 50% and more of their salaries to taxes to pay for everyone to get healthcare....even visitors to their country ..... and the US is smarter than that.

There's a better way. The liberals don't have a clue. They believe in socialism and thank God our young Americans are beginning to see the light....the debt is on them...the pressure is on them to pay higher premiums to take care of the elderly and the illegals. There's no way young Americans can get ahead in life financially with redistributive wealth. They are beginning to see the light. That's a good thing.
