I have bi problem believing this. Texas, Florida, and Arizona are barely civilized. Good article, Carrie.

Oh yeah, everybody, let us teach more drivel and forget the Golden Rule as soon as we leave the sacred ground of the CHURCH that means sooo much to us down here.
Or, is it that in Texas, the real church is the football field?

When they say "don't mess with Texas", you better believe them!

Actually, Mitchell, a number of people who openly state that the football field is their real church behave better than a lot of Southerners.

I am glad we had fun in the 60s, 70s., 80s, and 90s because it seems as if it's over.

I was surprised by the amount of crime in the South- even though they as a rule they are almost more than any other region of the country- are more conservative in their politics, much more into following the bible literally and going to church. But, they also are much more likely to possess guns and aren't in favor of any gun control! I think that this might have something to do with that high crime statistic! I'm glad I don't live in the South.
