Let's face it. When push comes to shove, we all die utterly alone. And apparently, more of us are living that way too, according to recent updates on the declining marriage rate in the US and its negative impact on American family finances.

Looking at the graph - having children now isn't beneficial.

Why don't people look for what we have in common, no they look or things where we differ from one another, which is sad. We are more alike than we think !!

It certainly is not easy to live from just one income today.

Not a very bright future for most of us but with that said WAY better than a good portion of the world.

Lonely & Poorer has been around some time, just think it's getting more exposure thru the media. The thruth of the matter is that we have to adjust accordingly & make the best of life!

Onreason the elderly are living and dying alone is that we aren't valued in Amercan society. Familes used to live together, and help each other. Now, seniors are left to fend for themselves. Sad, but true.

Well, why aren't children taking care of their elderly parents? My mother didn't die alone, neither did my father. Had they lived past the ages of 67 and 70 they still never would have been alone. I think maybe some of the answers lie within our own family dynamics.

That might be a good place to start looking for a true answer in my opinion. What has gone wrong with the family dynamic.
