34832. The Great Lakes form the largest group of freshwater lakes on Earth, containing 21% of the world's surface fresh water. It is absolutely insane to risk polluting them with radioactive waste? Can't happen? Too many safeguards? Tell that to Japan. There is NO foolproof safeguard and this must not be allowed to happen.

1KM is not that far with global warming raising sea levels it could raise the lake levels too and it wouldn't take much for it to move 1km over a few decades. Imagine if that waste depository was flooded.
