Recently-acquitted former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R) on Friday advised Republicans to "stick to your guns" because it was a "false notion" that refusing to raise the debt limit could hurt the credit of the United States.

What I think about Tom DeLay is all in form of expletives, I don't care what he thinks. The man belongs in prison and not speaking to the press.

According to The Washington Post:

"$150 million a day. That’s the price-tag to taxpayers for closing down the government. In 1995, the record three-week closing cost a $1.25 billion or $1.9 billion in today’s dollars."

Sorry, Tom. That's going to be noticed!

Considering all the "ghosts" in his closet, you'd think that Tom DeLay would choose to stay out of the limelight. If there was any justice in this world, he'd be in prison serving a three-year sentence for criminal charges of conspiracy to violate election laws. And that's just one of many skeletons. Being the narcissist that he is, he just can't help himself.

If the government does end up shutting down, I hope all the garbage that's not going to get picked up ends up on his front lawn!

Yes, DeLay should be in prison - I know of no one who misses him.

"Recently acquitted..." Thanks to getting all the Democrats dumped off the appeals board, he finally gets acquitted. Mr. DeLay, the American people sure never missed you.

". . . DeLay told host Chris Cuomo that the Republican Party would not take the blame if the Republican Party forced the government to be shut down . . . " I beg to differ, Mr. DeLay, Republicans WILL take the blame--they just won't take the responsibility. Do you really think that's the same thing?

Yeah right, take the word of a criminal. Well, his whole dang party should have been in the slammer right along with for their undemocratic and often treasonous actions.

The GOP are so stupid it's embarrassing to see. De Lay should go back to the rock he crawled out of.

When did he get out of the nut house? He is so stupid and he can't possibly get his feet and hands out of his mouth. He still has room for more in his mouth, what can we stuff him with. He is a jerk and the problem is that the government is full of DeLay's. That's why the country is the way it is. Eve4ryone is pulling in their own direction and as long as it doesn't hurt them, to hell with the voters.

I suppose with the free time he will spend it doing what he loves most: slapping ice cream cones out of children's hands.Still, his recent acquittal suggests he will now forget about outlawing prison rape but this is a stupid strategy to say the least. There seems to be a willing need to jump into self destructive behavior as the GOP have got some of the dumbest politicians ever to have crawled out of a corporate bum hole in decades. The last time there was a Government shutdown it was a disaster for the Republicans, so expect a spectacular cull of Tea Party and GOP candidates in the midterms.

Of course a Gov. shutdown WILL hurt the Country in innumerable ways !---Not raising the Debit ceiling will cause Eminence damage world wide!!! And --yes the Republicans will be to BLAME ! The Speaker of the House-- John B. is the worst & most inept-dumbest Speaker ever! The RWnut jobs are running wild. THEY are American TERRORISTS- bent on destroying the GOV.ALL because they hate Pres. OBAMA. VOTE them out in 2014 & 2016!
