Jon Stewart bore down on Fox News Radio host Todd Starnes, who dismissively said Democrats would start getting their "potted meat and Tang and get in [their] survival bunker," to the amusement of Sean Hannity and other cohorts.

Those cretins on Fox .....I hope rot in hell. They pass along erroneous information and all they are good for is rotten remarks. Fox TV's Rupert Murdock faced police and government investigations into bribery and corruption by the British government and FBI investigations in the US. Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal owns the second- largest block of stock (7 percent) in News Corp., Fox News'
Fox won a suit in Florida in 2003 against Jane Akre that they have the right to lie .....
That's some reputation.

I love how John Stewart encapsulates the issues, boiling it down to what effects people.

" Fox News Radio host Todd Starnes, who dismissively said Democrats would start getting their “potted meat and Tang and get in [their] survival bunker,” to the amusement of Sean Hannity and other cohorts."

Dang, ambushed again. I really hate exposure of any kind to Faux Noise, television OR radio talking heads because that is what they are. I don't know that if you totaled the iq of every Rupert employee you'd get into three digits. Brilliant piece of work on Jon's part but then he does have a three digit iq. And a heart, a soul and enough empathy to actually care about other people - attributes that seem to be demonstratively absent in any successful candidate for a job with Rupert's empire. This may not be the first shutdown but it will go down in history as the most stupid of them all. Those fools on Fox still don't know the ACA is a law, they still refer to it as a bill. It is not. It is a law, passed by both Houses and signed into law by the President. No, we aren't going to negotiate it again, we already did that. We'll improve it when the tea party has been sent to their rooms in 2016 and I don't mean their rooms in DC, their rooms back under whatever rock they crawled out from under in the first place.

By 2016, people will know and love the ACA and want more. Not less. This is what causes the fear in Republican hearts, they know the people already approve of this idea and they are deathly afraid we will demand more. And their health care industry 1%er's will be very, very unhappy with them. But the rest of us will still be seething over what they have done with this shutdown. It may not affect Hannity personally, but it is affecting a lot of other people negatively and those other people vote. Even with their gerrymandered majority, the republicans are going to lose that majority over what they have been doing since 2008, which is to say nothing but toady to the rich. Without shame. Except on the part of true conservatives from days gone by who understood that government IS a good thing and disagreed only in scope and scale of it, not that it allow the 1% to run rampant over the rest of the country. No republican believed that until Bush began spending his political capital in 2005. And nearly sank the ship of state in the process. Did that cause them to wonder if they were on the right track? No, not at all. They just keep blindly pushing forth the same dogma increasing percentages of Americans are rejecting with each election. Which is actually sort of a good thing, we'll be rid of them sooner rather than later, it is the time between in which real people are hurting. And that does trouble me even if it makes the Faux people, giggle like children over their potted meat and tang.

Ummmmmmmmmm the last time I checked, it was Teabagging, backwoods, non/under/mis-educated, inbred, willfully ignorant Fascist POS 'Preppers' who were hording up the Tang and potted meat product....not Democrats. Don't believe me.....if you can stomach at least five minutes of these faux reality shows....they are definitely NOT Democrats. So maybe the talking buttheads on Fox radio and Faux Noose are mocking their own listeners/viewers.....and the poor tools don't even get it that they are the ones being mocked.

Noted. Thanks, Carrie. Yes, at least Jon Stewart called them out....naming them as the ones with the survival bunkers. When I heard this, I was a bit surprised that FuxNoise was dissing their own viewers. Just wondering if they even noticed......

Thanks Carrie, love Jon Stewart, he calls people on their crap when it needs to be done, and genuinely seems to care about the people that are often ignored.

Thank you Jon. But the truth is this nation is in serious trouble and being bullied by a small minority. This is not funny. And now the "Publs" are blaming the Dems for the shut down. Lies, lies, lies.

After sending Gene his star for his words of wisdom, I'd now like to send a box of stars to Jon Stewart for his genuine and heartfelt attack on those Fox-puppets.

Jon is an asset to the people. Fox is a wealthy based, brainwashing machine with unlimited funding...Our enemy.

Good for Jon for taking a stand and telling it like it is. Somebody has to be a voice for the people and many that do find that the repulsive conservatives want to have their voices stifled.
