Rand Paul is pathetic beyond words in trying to scrub transcripts, which weren't annotated correctly, from his Website and thinking that people wouldn't notice, if it wasn't for the fact that he's showing more of the contempt he holds for his voters. First by serving them lazy, second-hand speeches and now not bothering to footnote them as promised, but making them disappear when nobody is looking. That's not pathetic, that's despicable and probably criminal too.

Thank you for exposing the man's lack of integrity. Aside from engaging in theft, the fool plagiarized Wikipedia. I don't allow my students to use that source because it lacks credibility. Furthermore, he didn't even address the report. He chose to engage in attacking Rachel Maddow rather than apologizing for the theft.

Plagiarism, contempt for the hoi polloi, and a father knows best attitude will be his downfall if he can't cover it up before more people take notice. He can start by not smirking when delivering his pearls of wisdom..

According to the music industry, it's not plagiarism, it's called "sampling." Maybe he should try that one.

Instead of pounding his chest like an outraged ape, blathering about duels for honor.

And it just occurred to me, I may have just mortally insulted apes.

It never occurred to him to blame it on an aide, apologize, and move on? Nope: let's make this lame attempt to erase the evidence and pretend it's all just left-wing slander.

Scumbag should have just added the proper footnotes, apologized and stop using other people's words without attribution. Trying to hide indicates a personality unsuitable for positions of authority. In a crisis he doesn't care what is right just what might work in the short term. The fact that this nation and its leaders do not address and solve problems but waits for failure and finds handy scapegoats is why the USA sucks more every year. The answer to the problems of democracy is more democracy so that the people buy in and have a stake in improving the country.

The New York Times is reporting that Paul is complaining that he is being held in an "unfair standard." Interesting.

When any discussion about Rand Paul occurs it should be noted he is an ophthalmologist yet he is alway ducking questions about his board certification. Or, more precisely, his lack thereof. As he helped create the National Board of Ophthalmology -- which is not recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties -- so that he and his fellow ophthalmologists could get recertified without all the rigor bureaucratic red tape of that nasty, stodgy old American Board of Ophthalmology. So don't expect to admit to using a wikipedia article for a speech on an underated sci-fi film, who knows what next maybe he will use the plot of Bladerunner for his next speech or the undenialbly poetic lyrics of AC/DC I would go for "Big Balls" because he must have them to deny such an obvious political mistake. So I wonder if his balls will be bouncing to the left or to the right as it is his belief that his big balls should be held every night.

This is off topic and I'm sorry but I just had to share this....I go to a really RW political group to read what crap is being posted and now these stupid broads have admitted their stupidity. One said she was listening to Rush today and he said Obama's popularity was now even lower than Bush's were at his lowest. They were all rejoicing....they believe RUSH? And what's worse is the owner of the group always prides herself on being so smart....a bright person wouldn't listen to and worse, believe Rush.

A High School student would know what plagiarism is. Doesn't he have enough money to hire a speech writer? And this is the people we have in high places of Government and then wonder why we are in the messes we are in. Come on America, start doing YOUR homework before you vote. I also fault the press that was asleep for so many years.

When I saw the headline I expected to see Andy Borowitz's byline. Real life just gets more like satire every day. Tell me again what medical school Idiot, son of Idiot, named for Idiot graduated from?

Idiot, son of Idiot, named after Idiot said I think Im being unfairly targeted by a bunch of hacks and haters. And Im just not going to put up with people casting aspersions on my character.

"aspersions on my character" implies he is of good character. I wish someone had asked me about that because in my book, the only character he has is arrogant, deceitful, and plain stupid! So he is being unfairlt targeted. That proves stupidity as he is the one targeting himself by repeatedly plagarising.

Stupid id as stupid does!

Nothing says, "Not ready for the Big Time.", than his other excuse of 'I am just too busy/ in demand.' .Perhaps he should be focusing on doing his job not running for one he is so obviously not qualified to hold. It is also rather a pathetic excuse considering he has a Tax payer funded budget around 1Million Dollars per year for just staff.
