Hopefully mainstream media will also pick up on this story so that there is sufficient impetus for Congress to move to prevent the 2008 meltdown from repeating

Noted. I hope the appeal works and he's prosecuted. This guy, Cohen, is definitely one of the "Pigs At the Trough" Arianna Huffington wrote about.

Now - If we can juust get them to PAY the fine, and NOT then claim it as atax deduction - - -
We seem, sometimes just DOOMED to be "melted-down" by these folks - - -

So Cohen's company pays the fines (and the probably writes them of as losses and gets a tax cut), but Cohen is still under investigation. By the time the heat is on, he'll draw his chequebook, pay for a settlement and walk out the door a free man. No jail time for this guy, because he's written the manual on how to avoid personal responsibility and still take home most of the bacon.

So Cohen's company pays the fine, which to it is probably a pittance, and Cohen is still under investigation???
Surely hope this story is paid attention to, as this is one of the reasons there was a meltdown. Of course Cohen's company was not the only one doing this insider trading. Get Then All and put them in jail before they take flight!!
Thank you Carrie. Very interesting!
