He's gone far too young...loved his overall body of work. He'll be missed here in Toronto as he was a staple during the Film Festival every year. RIP Philip

Very sad. The article said he did get rehab several years ago, but I'm guessing he stopped going to the meetings, and/or didn't keep in touch with a sponsor. So sad.
One of the reasons injectable drugs are especially dangerous is because you really don't know what's in them...
