The political map of America changes, but it doesn't change very quickly. Massachusetts was a reliably liberal state decades ago and still is. The South is still the South. This raises the question of why it is that certain areas come to be reliably...

I wish it wasn't so, but I do feel pressure by society can make life either a heaven or a hell for the free thinker.

Noted. Interesting--thanks, Carrie.
I believe Betsy Bee is up north in the Phx. area. We are quite "Progressive" here in Tucson, compared to Phx. Although there is a mixture throughout our state, due to gerrymandering & the strong conservative media push, we are controlled by the GOP. Hoping to change that very soon, though. The voices from So. AZ are getting louder and stronger. Trouble is the Koch money and the State Policy Network, along with devoutly religious groups like Catholics & Mormons. No matter where you live---Don't Give Up!

Thanks Carrie.

Children often take the opposite path of their parents. I have one who doesn't care, one who is conservative, and one who is liberal , but not as liberal as we are.
