When we saw that the good people of Pocatello, Idaho were panicked about the prospect of a Mexican diner being turned into a local Islamic center, we knew we had to come to their aid.

What a light-hearted, funny article! I'd never read the "Ask A Mexican" column before, but plan to read it now. And, also quite interesting. I will say that it's sad that some feel the need to differentiate between ethnicities due to their own racist tendencies. We are the great melting pot after all. Thanks for posting, Carrie.

Glad to read that someone is giving the problem the SERIOUS consideration that it deserves - After all, Pocatello, Idaho would be at significant risk for a terrorist attack designed to cripple and intimidate the nation - - -
Come to think of it, the nation MIGHT notice after a fortnight or so, if Pocatello simply vanished - and the citizens there KNOW that they are prime targets, justifying all their fears
(Stop me before I gag again - - - -)

Thanks for the article Carrie. It makes a very serious issue a little more palatable with humour, but it remains serious nevertheless. People in the south better get over their bigot view on anyone not white, because in a few years they are going to be the minority instead of the Mexicans or the Muslims and if these groups adapt and turn into the Americans they are expected to be, the shoe will be on the other foot and the white minority will be discriminated.

"Will you eat refried beans", tounge in cheek. Come on Idaho be reasonable, your state has nothing to worry about, unless you make it so.
Thanks Carrie.

Good one. Thanks Carrie. I've read the "Ask a Mexican" column before and even read the book Gustavo Arrellano wrote of the same title.
