When you get every breed of dog together in one building, it's hard not to have fun. Here's what's been making dogs smile at this year's show.

While a dog's pedigree means nothing to me personally ~ I do love seeing happy dogs having a good time ~ even at this ostentatious event.

I prefer the Heinz 57 dogs I rescue, but Number 13 and 27 were truly cute, thanks!

I am not into pedigree's myself either Carrie. But it was fun seeing these dogs enjoying themselves. I watched the video of last year's winner - a real cutie. I don't have any idea of what kind of dog was in the last photo, but I love his wink!!
Thanks for sharing Carrie.

They're all cuties. I just don't care 4 these dog shows. Why not showcase shelter pooches who are all in desperate need of a home...makes a hell of a lot more sense. Thx Carrie

I have to agree Natasha, but for those who show their prized pooches at these extravaganzas ~ it's about money and prestige. So sad. At least the dogs are treated well.

They are all the faces of love to me, no matter the breed, package, or where they hail from. They seem to really enjoy themselves & that means a lot to me, although I also am not crazy about the exploitation of the "Shows" & big hoopla. I care deeply about the animals & really wish much of the breeding could end, to make a major difference for the needy, homeless ones, who love just as much. So Many Thanks for this share, dearest Carrie!!!~

Nice images, Carrie - Even though I'm not a "show" breeding fan - at ALL.
And I have a real quarrel with the editor of this line-up - NO ESKIES!

It says: The dogs couldn’t contain their joy to be there.
Its so exciting to have someone grab your family jewels!

I'm neither much into dogs nor pedigrees and certainly not these dog shows, but the photo's were well taken, capturing the breed very well. I'm not sure the dogs really enjoy themselves, all that preening and combing and sitting still for hours. I think they rather would be out, running around, getting dirty and chasing the odd cat or two.

I think these shows have gotten an undeserved bad rap. The dogs are beautiful, some people WANT pedigreed dogs, and they and the dogs have the right to be happy together.
Personally, It doesn't matter to me but my Shepherds and Border Collie all came from a shelter.

Please adopt from shelters and rescue organizations and please spay, neuter and micro chip your pets.

Good advice Winn. If you are looking for a particular breed ~ look to a rescue group.
