The hosts of Fox & Friends on Wednesday were shocked to learn that emergency responders were "forced" to serve non-English speakers in life-threatening situations even if the callers were suspected of entering the country illegally.

These despicable people would have been outraged the sharing of loaves and fishes.

Say what? How does one distinguish between legal and illegal speakers over the phone? How can you tell if someone is here illegally or has passed through customs by legal means (say as a tourist or for business, or for any number of legitimate reasons), or is an American citizen whose first language wasn't English and is too traumatized to remember to speak English? How is one supposed to prove they are an American citizen or a legal visitor over the phone.? And why does that matter? Isn't the point of 911 to help ANYONE in an emergency? The article doesn't really explain how big of a problem this is. What percentage of calls turn out to be from people here illegally? Are they suggesting we should let these people die instead of helping them?

Very much agree with Roger!

i think that's what they are suggesting.

Okay, let's say that the people were illegal? Is being illegal now a crime punishable by DEATH in the U.S.?

Let's put this in perspective. When someone on DEATH ROW tries to commit suicide, they are still rushed for medical care.

Once again Fox News needs to rename itself. I'm sure the actual foxes (the cute furry animals) are ashamed at the association.

The despicable and sick network of people that are Fox Corporation are an embarrassment and complete detriment to the world. It's really a sad state when there are enough people goosestepping along with the vile bile and daily dose of deliberate hate producing, diversionary propaganda that they spew to keep them on the air. Sickening and scary all at the same time that so many people do not, will not and care not to think for themselves, only to live on a daily diet of hateful, greed driven people's very stupid OPINIONS that only have the intent to TRY to divide our country so they can "conquer." It has worked with their ignorant base of viewers that have been indoctrinated to believe that the government is always out to get them, that the "others" are going to take over "their" America and that anyone that doesn't believe or look like them are evil and always conspiring to do harm. Ever tried to have a decent, civil, fact based discussion with a Fox News watcher? They can't hold a conversation. They only get louder to the point of screaming, more determined to convince you that THEIR derangement and complete paranoia is the only and "Right" way to think. They constantly use the tactic of trying to divert the obvious observation that they run a Nazi like operation by accusing any and all of the "others" with this deplorable comparison. It certainly is "The Fox smelling his own hole." The Karl Rove tactic of lying, cheating and corrupting but blaming your opposition of doing it first even without fact or proof to offset what you're really up to is their method of operation and business model. These are truly sick people that hide and spew venom behind the guise of the First Amendment, American Flag and have co-opted and corrupted the word patriot and "real" American to the point that sane, decent and common sensed Americans are afraid to be labeled with those titles for fear of being dropped in the category of the insanity that is the Right Wing Fox News devote.

God Forbid, Murdoch would be able to somehow buy out Time Warner and add it to his disgusting line of lying, manipulating, brainwashing, crude, rude and cruel barrel of crap that are his media outlets.

Fox News fuels the sickness of a fear-based group of people who are so worried they will not get their share of the American pie. They hate those who they feel might encroach upon their turf, and feel anything others might get takes away from them personally. They believe guns are the answer, while being humane is not. To me, this is more than a mere "attitude" in our culture, it's a serious mental health problem caused by an all-consuming irrational fear.

Fox News = disgusting and despicable take on any news story they cover. Why anyone thinks they tell the truth is beyond me.

Chief Deputy Urbino “Benny” Martinez and his team are doing their duty to fellow human beings, and with some compassion so it seems, and Fox News turns that into 'being forced' to help those 'illegals'. And instead of getting donations going for the overworked and underfunded emergency response, they only rant.
That is sooooooo Republican.

I must admit that I used to watch Fox News in order to get a different perspective. Now I know that's a little like asking the KKK to give their perspective on the Civil Rights movement.

The usual crap from Faux Noise! The Republicanus/Teabagger Ministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise, appears more racist and despicable than the party itself sometimes.

And Rupert Murdoch has tried to buy Time Warner but was rebuffed. God help us if the godfather of Faux Noise manages to pull off that coup!

"“So, those calls you have to respond to, even though for the most part when you get there, you realize, they’re not an American citizen?” the Fox News host pressed."

The hate filled right wing just never stops, does it? They don't get it. They who claim to be Christians forget the story of the Good Samaritan I guess. When people need help, you help them. That is humanity 101 and one would think religion 101 too. Obviously it is NOT politics 101 - there money comes WAY before people. A pox on this fool and all his kind.

This is the reason I don't watch Faux news, just a bunch of idiots reporting and trying to sway people to their side on immigration laws. Maybe "they" are running from some horrible life at home.
Thx, Carrie and Ashley.

Rupert Murdoch, as Lynn points out, and his director of BSNews Inc., Roger Ailles, ought to be brought before a resurrected Nuremberg Court, as they, especially Roger, are quickly becoming Fascists. This is just the kind of thing Hitler, and other eugenics idiots would have enacted.
roger mini manages the spin his people put out, and I expect, if he can't literally put ouit a message about evry single bit of news, or opportunity to be an ass, his people "work toward the Fuhrer," just as the good Nazis did; anticipating what "would Hitler do!" It is the culture Ailles has set up. Murdoch had been reported wanting to support Obama, in one of the recent elections, but Ailles indicated that that would not be good for the bottom line, the report went.

A far cry from "What would Jesus do?"

People are people, no matter where they come from, they all deserve help when needed. Give the help, then sort out the immigration problem when the emergency is over.

So in America you have to have an American passport to get help? Does it mean that we in another countries should not spend our taxpayers money on helping Americans in trouble here?
How stupid some people are and they should be ashamed about themselves.

the operators from 9-1-1 should help everybody, even if they are illegal in the country, or have a criminal record for that matter. It's not to them to judge those who need their help.

In an emergency situation, many people cannot think straight. That's why airlines have to show you how to use the seat belts before each flight. So, the Fox News "death penalty" for non-citizens would even punish legal citizens who couldn't provide adequate info. !!

Prejudice people use to know to keep quiet because the majority would let them know how awful their prejudice was. Now it seems to be okay and even applauded. A sad commentary for the US.
