CO Republican: Fracking Is Okay, It's Natural for Water to Burn. 'Indians' Used It for Warmth.

A Colorado Republican state senator justified the practice of hydraulic fracturing -- commonly known as "fracking" -- by saying that the presence of burnable amounts of methane gas in drinking water is a perfectly natural phenomenon.

In fact, he said, the “Indians” used it for “warmth in the wintertime” many years ago. In my anthropology in Native Culture that's a huge NO. Where did this guy get his history? As most of you know I live about less then a mile from one. At night the one that I can see, It has a "sound bearer" I can hear threw it. I can see a plume of gasses escaping from that area. I have already call the police because it is IN TOWN on a noise complaint. It makes the same sounds on a nightly basis starting on the 7th at 10:49 each and every night. Thanks Carrie! I WILL NOT VOTE FOR THIS GUY!

No, no actually water shouldn't burn. It should do the opposite, as in put out fires.

You sir, need to go back to elementary school.

Doesn't he look like a weasel just died on his face. I take it he just sort of pulled the whole "burning water" thing from out of his ass as any small child should be able to inform him that water isn't supposed to burn. Still, not being very bright does not seem to be the hindrance it used to be in some circles of politics, particularly in Conservative circles when there are politicians so stupid there is a suspicion that they have their mittens on strings and think entertainment is to have a hat with a bell on it.

So seeing water burn isn't a miracle, then? I suppose the rate fracking is going it'll be a phenomenon soon to be seen from a tap near you. What an idiot.

Pennsylvania has had flammable water for decades. But what's really burning isn't the water but the methane that comes up with the ground water.
So "Fracking" is bad all round, - we know what methane does to our ozone, - well some of us do,> the loony tune who said Indians burned water to keep warm, - he obviously does not know, that , or much even.
He does know how to exploit the planet though it seems ? ha ha using your tax money too probably , ha ha you have to laugh, -- NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This guy gets his information from "fracking seminars". D'oh! I don't suppose he knows who sponsors these things. Actually I think he acts a bit like one of those head bobbin' dolls. At least those dolls have an excuse, they really don't have any brains.

Oh, we certainly have them. Let's hope he keeps talking crazy. Not that that will keep him from getting(re)elected but it's our best chance. Here's a two-year-old scandal thay MAY help:
Heidi, neither you nor I is in his District, so we won't have the opportunity to vote against him. Darn.
