A four-year-old Israeli child was reportedly killed by mortar fire in southern Israel near the Gaza border on Friday afternoon, the latest casualty of renewed violence between Israel and Hamas that has disproportionately claimed Palestinian lives.

Fewer deaths in Israel of children because they live 24/7 in bomb shelters from rocket attacks. Abd Hamas has NO intention to stop and declare peace.....they don't care about the people dying.....or injured or children who are frightened. They just want death to the jews and spread Sharia law to the world.

There are no headlines showing damages to Israel ---you have to SEEK them on the internet....here's a sample just from yesterday....

Daryl, I notice you only spew your bile on certain of my posts. Why is that ~ and so you even bother to read them before you make your repetitive, uniformed, irrelevant, inaccurate, and completely hateful personal attacks.? Others have noticed that you are following me around and making unwarranted personal attacks on my character.

Daryl--your continuous unwarranted, venemous personal attacks on Carrie are getting really tiresome. You never comment on the merits of her stories; you only tell us what a terrible person she is. You don't like what is going on in the world, so your answer is to kill the messenger. Do you write nasty letters to the editor at the Times or the Post as well? If you need to see a single-minded, hate-filled person, try looking in a mirror (if it isn't already cracked from the last time you used it). As far as I can see, you have never posted a story yourself. Why not? There are plenty of pro-Israel stories out there. If you can't bear to read about Israeli atrocities in Gaza, post a story about Palestinian atrocities in Israel. Or is it too much trouble to do something positive and too easy to blindly attack those who do what you apparently can't? It's obvious that you are on an anti-Carrie campaign that has nothing do do with Gaza. She could post a story about puppies and your reaction would be the same. We have your number, Daryl, and sadly it's quite a bit less than zero. If you don't want to participate in the conversation at hand like an adult, go spew your venon somewhere else.

Carrie, take my advice. Do not feed the trolls. They thrive on the drama they provoke.

I agree with Tomcat.
It is a waste of time AND energy.

just came in:
Outrage: Israel avoids war crimes charges. As expected, it looks like Israel will yet again avoid war crimes charges. Every means to expose and hold Israel accountable and demonstrate the bias of our international system is important. The effort is clearly terrifying Israel because Israel knows the criminality it is engaged in.
The goal is to make Israel the pariah state it ought to be for committing these crimes, to make its officials unable to move outside the country and to ultimately send a message: Enough! It is saddening at this moment to see horrendous crimes committed hourly and watch the governments of many states stand by or enable.

ParsifalOFFLINE--I agree with TomCat, too. As LeBeouf said in True Grit, "You've not won anything when you've bested a fool." Daryl, Carrie, and I are doing this strictly for entertainment. Actually, we're all best of friends. Right, Daryl?

Israel won't even allow investigators from Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International in Gaza because they don't want them to see what Israel has done. Israel has also said they don't want the ICC investigating allegations of war crimes ~ they want to 'handle' it themselves. I find it interesting that Hamas has signed a pledge to back any Palestinian bid to join the international criminal court, a move which could expose both the Islamist group and Israel to war crimes investigations. Wonder what Israel is so afraid of.

Daryl - cool it. You see hate everywhere, which is bad for your health and makes you very unhappy. Don't bother to open Carrie's posts if you don't like what she posts. You'll never have a world where everybody agrees with you ...
But the fact that different people have different perspectives doesn't make them BAD people, and criticism of Israeli policies & strategies is not necessarily an expression of hate; it can be an expression of deep concern. If you see someone playing with fire in a drought-ridden area ... should you not warn them of the risks you see? Would there not be more hateful behaviour if you sat back in a safe place & said "let them burn not only themselves but all around them"?

You have been attacking carrie all over the place - where she's posted articles, where she comments ... and even on other posts where she hasn't even commented (& you "expect" her to come in) ... Why is her opinion so important to you? Let go, relax, stop giving yourself ulcers about Carrie ....

Carrie - thanks for posting.
EVERY death is a tragedy for the family, the community ... whether Palestinian or Israeli.
The soldiers know that when they are sent to fight, they risk their lives ... Civilians don't have that choice, they pay the price of the conflict situation ...

Shelters involved digging underground, & having free access to building materials. People of Gaza are largely refused this option. So when jan says Israeli children are safe because they " live 24/7 in bomb shelters" she's pointing out an advantage, an option that exists ... but she is not describing a reality ... people in Israel head for bomb shelters from time to time, just in case the Iron Dome lets them down .... In contrast, the Palestinians in Gaza are even at risk when they take shelter with the UN .... because although the UN staff guarantee that the locations notified to IDF as sheltering people are free of weapons, Israel manages to hit the coordinates provided by the UN as being those of verified shelters ...

Be honest, jan - citing multiple articles on one case , to try to make it look as though there are many Israeli children killed in addition to the more than 450 Palestinian children killed, is not exactly sign of integrity ...
One child is already far too many - 450 is .... horrendous

The headline says it's about Gaza, but when I look closer it's mainly a theatre show of Daryl and Carrie B.
Have you got nothing else to comment, better than wasting your time here ?
