Netanyahu has created a system of appropriating vast funds for settlement construction, in an almost clandestine way, through the Finance Committee of the Knesset. This was exposed and objected to by Labor Knesset member Stav Shaffir.

The settlement movement is a major impediment to peace. Israel should be held accountable. Thanks for posting, Carrie. Grrrrr...

European nations created the Israeli-palestinian *crisis*, their apathy and even co-operation fomented escalating terrorism. Now that the terror threatens THEM internally and externally they think that kissing palestinian/terrorist butt and attempting to shackle Israel is going to save Europe.
So , in effect, the plan is to continue doing exactly what they've been doing for the last 65 years which is exactly what created the situation that everyone's in now which is only going to continue to worsen.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, as you will the EU consists of a bunch of soggy doughnuts lacking the...male equipment...to take the positive steps needed to solve the entire situation.
Giving credit where credit is due, Spain just might be waking up.

"Speaking on condition of anonymity, a senior source in the Brussels European Union foreign policy team has shared with Al-Monitor their thinking over resuming the peace process once the next Israeli government is established"

Why did that person not want identification?

"Some EU officials are even considering demanding Israel to compensate damages to EU projects located beyond the Green Line — damages caused by settlement expansion. In the words of the Brussels EU official: "If Israeli settlement policy continues to sabotage the two-state solution, some EU members even foresee sanctions against Israel all together. Yet it is in Israel's hands to prevent it."

It's time to deflate Israels/Bibi's overblown ego.
